I take no pleasure in reiterating this point but this is a competition we should have gone all out for especially considering Chelsea and arsenal are out of it. OK maybe we did, then what the hell is going on! This man has lost it, why play Wilson for just one half, give him a chance for god sake. The tactics are so poor, too safe, too regimented, no fun or freedom of expression in it. Rooney is not playing well but to be fair these tactics stifle him even more. He is a street footballer who relies on working hard and wanting the ball. He’s now told not to look for it just stay in position, that’s not his game. I mean this, get lvg out before there is HUGE fall out from that dressing room, we cud lose herrera rooney mata and memphis in the next 18 months if this spoofer stays!

Agree about Mata fergiesarmy and Memphis has been disappointing for sure. But Herrera’s been no better apart from the odd game (Everton springs to mind). Did you see him in Moscow and against Citeh? Very average.

I’ve said loads of times rooney IS done and it’s time to go but it’s a serious fall from grace, I mean I feel bad for him he can’t seem to do anything with a football, yet he plays and while he plays the tactics make him look even worse! I’m not that down on mata though because he trys hard and it often pays off he’s scores a few and finds a pass, let’s be honest he played on the wing most of the season to accomade rooney, now martial plays there to accomade him. As regards memphis, I recognise he has been disappointing but hes 21 and i also see that he has bags of potential, it took Ronaldo 3 years to show everyone what he could do! I’m hoping some time on the bench will remind him he is not the man here and he comes back a better team player and show cases that potential! I’m a herrera fan too I think his energy and passing ability are fantastic, I think we are missing a trick by not playing him on the right of a midfield 3 and having mata in the hole (where he belongs) just behind martial! Memphis/young on the left! Rooney has got to sit out, don’t be fooled by me saying we may lose him, my point was the fall out from lvg seems inevitable and that dressing room is gonna crack!

So here you have it gents. Scholes’ thoughts on LVG attacking approach is extremely spot on. He said he would not want to play in a team that is as rigid as that. We are extremely good defensively but from an attacking perspective we offer very little indeed. the identity of the club has been altered and we need to bring it back. I have said it before and i will say it again, Ancelotti would bring the fun back to OT. Unfortunately, whether LVG will get the sack is highly unlikely.
