1-Valencia
2-Rojo
3-Darmian
4-Young
5-McTominay
6-Mata
7-Smalling
8-Fellaini
9-Lingard
10-MaticDecember 19, 2018 at 10:26 am #1709128The list of players to keep is much shorter!
December 19, 2018 at 10:49 am #1709134Where do you start..
In order of how quickly they should be bombed out
1 Rojo – his last display was disgusting
2 Valencia – a major cause of how slow we are in attack
3 McTominay – absolute dog shite
4 Darmian – no future at club – would rather have TFM as back up
5 Matic – past it for me,was good most of last season but a cause of our poor performance this season
6 Jones – overstayed welcome
7 Lingard – I never want to see a misplaced pass in a counter attack again – crap
8 Smalling – not good enough but to be fair hasn’t been too bad this season
9 Fellaini – never wanted him but give his due hes put a shift in when required
10 Young – Not the future but I have warmed to him, puts maximum effort in and often shines in a bad sideI’d like to say Lukaku as he has been worse than Young, Fellaini etc but I hope that he will pick up with new manager and Pogba hate him for all whats gone on and that disrespectful tweet but he is a talented player and if he got his head down and just played footy he would be an asset
December 19, 2018 at 12:30 pm #1709176Ah there’s 2 ways of looking at this. Players we want to move on because they are the worst OR players we would sell because, whilst they are not the worst, we could get decent money for so it makes sense to sell them while we still can. Pogba being a possible example.
What list do you want ?
@zico – This is how Jones has been at the club so long. When it comes to making an exit list, he’s hiding under the radar in the physio’s room.
December 19, 2018 at 12:45 pm #1709182I’d split it both ways Mac to be honest:
Those that are too shit to stay:
1. Rojo
2. Jones
3. Darmian
4. Matic
5. Valencia
6. McTomminayThose that haven’t shown the right attitude or we can get good money for:
1. Pogba
2. Sanchez
3. Lingard
4. BaillyI’d throw the cat amongst the pigeons here and suggest De Gea too, he’s been at the club for over seven years now, should be very much a senior player and yet displays no leadership whatsoever. He’s not a busted flush but he could improve on many levels in my opinion. If we got £100+ million for him we could get Oblak or someone similar who knows how to organise their defence.
December 19, 2018 at 12:50 pm #1709183I have said it before, there is not one single player that I would not sell for the right money BUT if you wanted just 10 for starters I would go,
Pogba
Sanchez
Lukaku
Fellaini
Darmian
Rojo
Jones
Lingard
Matic
HerreraI have deliberately omitted Valencia, Young, Mata and McTominay from my list because their ages and contractual situations mean that they won’t be here for many more years if any, so are not too much of a problem for future seasons.
December 19, 2018 at 2:06 pm #1709207Jones
Smalling
Valencia
Young
Darmian
Rojo
For these six bring back fosu mensah and tuaenzebe along with a new top centre back and a left back.Mata
Fellaini
Matic
MactominaySee how lukaku, pogba, Herrera and sanchez do over the next six months. If there is no improvement then get rid.
December 19, 2018 at 2:43 pm #1709222Valencia
Rojo
Jones
Bailly
Matic
Fellaini
Sanchez
Lukaku
PogbaDecember 19, 2018 at 3:04 pm #1709229At this point there are a hell of a lot of players in that dressing room that I will give a free pass for the rest of the season so I can assess them under a different manager – it is obvious that the squad has been working in a toxic environment for a good while.
That being said, these are the players I want out because they are “no brainers” because of their limited skillsets and relatively high wages:
1. Mata
2. Valencia
3. Young
4. Fellaini
5. Herrera
6. Jones
7. SmallingPlayers such as Pogba, Lukaku, and Sanchez I will judge at the end of the season – they are senior players and should get their act together or must be shipped out.
December 19, 2018 at 3:22 pm #1709234Jones
Darmian
Valencia
Fellaini
Matic
Mata
Lingard
Lindelof
Rojo
Lukaku
Sanchez
Pogba (if the money is right)December 19, 2018 at 5:39 pm #1709266Out in January 2019
1. Phil Jones – Out of our current centre backs, Jones is the most fringe. Be it injuries or underperformance, he epitomizes both. He must sold in January.
2. Darmian – Young, Valencia and Dalot are all ahead of Darmain in the pecking order. He should simply be sold in January instead of wasting away due to limited playing time.Out in the summer
3. Rojo
4. Valencia
5. Fellaini
6. Matic
7. LukakuOut in January 2020
8. Smalling
9. Mata
10. YoungDecember 19, 2018 at 6:41 pm #1709278Valencia
Jones
Rojo
Young
Lingard
Lukaku
Matic
Fellaini
Darmian
MataBut you could add Sanchez and Herrera and make it a round dozen for me.
Didn’t include McTominay because he just doesn’t count.
Not sure why Martial’s not on my list because I dislike the fucker and at least we’d get money for him.
December 19, 2018 at 10:48 pm #1709337Killyboye, you suggesting our best player over the last 5 season is a bit OTT. I would prefer a defender who shows leadership qualities and leave De Gea to do what he is great at.
December 20, 2018 at 5:28 am #1709341Lol someone here wants us to sell De Gea 😂😂😂 wow.
I’d sell:
Matic
Valencia
Darmian
Fellaini
Jones
Jones
Jones
Jones
Jones
JonesDecember 20, 2018 at 6:27 am #1709342I don’t want to sell de Gea but if we got an outstanding offer I’d sell. As I said, he offers no leadership, doesn’t organise or seem to communicate with his defense. He’s possibly the best shot stopper in the world but as a goalkeeper that’s all he’s best at. We could get a more rounded keeper but I wouldn’t look to sell
December 20, 2018 at 7:38 am #1709347Forgot Lindelof. Never rated him since before we bought him. So that probably makes 15 on my list. And counting…
December 20, 2018 at 8:28 am #1709369@libanski – I don’t think anyone “wants us to sell” DeGea, but just in case it has escaped your attention he is currently in the process of running down his contract and now has only 18 months left. If a big bid comes in for him whilst we are in this situation and he is still showing no signs of committing then the only sensible option would be to take the money and use it to buy another keeper. It’s not that hard to understand.
December 20, 2018 at 9:53 am #1709403De Gea is one of, if not the best keeper in the world. If we want to reach the top we need to keep him – simple as. Everyone knows United have money to burn so if we sold him and got a replacement they’d probably cost the same amount and will, most likely, be a downgrade. He’s the only actual world class player we have, selling him would be suicidal.
December 20, 2018 at 10:13 am #1709409If you’d sell De Gea you’re an idiot – simple as that!
Let’s not forget that this is real life and not championship manager. If Ole is in charge for 6 months are we to allow him to buy players in January? What would be the point of that?
This summer is the perfect time to let the contracts expire (there are a lot of them!) Get the new manager in early and get some top quality players through the door. All of the GK’s i’d keep.
Dalot, Shaw, Bailly & Lindelof i’d keep for now. And i’d add Tuanzebe (Having a great season at Villa) and TFM. I’d sell Rojo, Jones, Valencia, Darmian. Think i’d keep Young and Smalling for another year as back up in case we have injuries.
I’d keep Pogba (if he can change his attitude and fight for the team), Fred, Lingard and maybe Pereira.
Sell Fellaini, Matic, Herrera (Even though i do like him a lot), Mata and McTominay.Up top i’d keep Rashford and Martial and i’d fuck off Sanchez and Lukaku is 50/50.
That would be a start!
December 20, 2018 at 10:26 am #1709416Oh, thanks happy, forgot Pereira, he’s got to go too. And counting…
