Saturday is TP’s 1000 league game. Whatever you think of him that is a very good achievement with only 25 other managers having made this mark. So, in the interest of positivity, I say congratulations to Mr Pulis and well done on reaching this significant mark. COYB

I agree. And, as often happens in the weird world of scheduling, it’s most apropos that game number 1000 is against Stoke!

So often they have been our bogey team (particularly when managed by TP) and now we face them with them firmly on the ropes. And whatever others on this site may say about Mark Hughes taking them to the next level, with exciting signings, they appear to be a team with no core and no defence. Indeed they have lost the dogedness of the TP years that so baffled previous Albion teams.

This weekend, for a change, it will be Stoke who are nervous and Albion who have nothing to fear. So I hope we have a good go at them and get the points.

It’s worth noting that, despite the frustrations of the home against Boro, we have lost narrowly to form team Everton and were unlucky not to get a point at Bournemouth. And I have to agree with TP that scoring at a key moment early in the game can make all the difference. It did against West Ham and I hope we score first against Stoke.

Here’s a thought….a straight swop, Bojan for Berahino.

I’de take a cup of tea and meat pie for Berahino the ungrateful little s**t. Failing that Bojan, Arnautovic or Shaqiri will do.
