Just so you know, I think you’re all hilarious.

Grujic mostly plays more to the right in central midfield so if he’s going to displace anyone it’s going to be Henderson. With Milner and Lallana likely to leave we’re looking at a 40mil player very much in the mould of Leon Goretzka, who we were linked with previously, as a replacement. Not that Goretzka has been any good since joining Bayern but he was quality at Schalke. He’d save us the trouble of getting another midfielder. Has a good strike on him and is a real threat at set-pieces on top of all his other qualities.

    Left: Wijnaldum, Keita
    Centre: Fabinho, Henderson
    Right: Grujic, Ox

Not a bad midfield to have IMO

Glad Grujic stayed at Hertha for another year but I would imagine his contract would be coming to an end soon so this year may me make a break for him to play at an elite level.

His contract runs to 2023. I think he signed an extension last year before going out on loan so we’ll still have significant leverage if he wants a move away next year or if we don’t want him.

From my assessment of Grujic I don’t think he has the quality to be a regular starter for Liverpool, the best I can see for him is being a squad player, just like Origi. Same goes for Wilson, our other top player on loan.

I don’t mind being proved wrong though.

However the type of player I really want to see at Liverpool is a midfield playmaker, to play as either an 8 or a 10. Such a player would have to be first and foremost extremely hardworking to fit into Klopp’s all-action pressing system, and then add game changing playmaking skills on top.

I feel that such a player would take us to another level, Keita was supposed to be the one but so far it hasn’t worked out due to his persistent injuries

Norwich city player Pukki just scored against Italy… Never heard of this guy till this season. How good is he and should we be making a bid for him in the summer or January even?

From the little that I’ve seen he comes across like a less skillful version of firmino but with better finishing. Certainly has an eye for the goal and looks like he didn’t mind working hard. Would hate rivals to get him from what I have seen, but I might be wrong.

Pukki is 29 he’s been around awhile, even played at Celtic for a bit. He’s currently in the form of his life and it’s great to see him doing the business and enjoying his football at Norwich…… And hopefully he stays with them.
We shouldn’t be going anywhere near him. A transfer like that would have Rickie Lambert (minus the sentimentality) written all over it. He’d likely never kick a ball in anger for any of the bigger teams. Taking nothing away from him, like I say, he is enjoyable to watch and has been playing out of his skin for two seasons, would even love to see him take the golden boot, but he’d never work in our setup. Can’t see us sign a forward over 26 anytime soon. Our game is built on running and our forwards need pace. Besides we have no need for stop gap signings anymore.

He’s 29. He was with Celtic a few years back I remember and did nothing.

Doing very well for Norwich but there is no way we are or would sign him

Thanks Sean, it seems hes a litte bit old for Klopps team as you said. Although still think we should have gone for Vardy all those years ago, he still has it and would be perect backup for Firmino role, but admitedly his wages would be too high for a backup player.

Razor, remember this one? “Yes but Chelsea wouldn’t be able to do anything about him moving. Any tribunal fee even closer to 50mil would be easily paid as we have the money now. Besides who’d want to sign a new contract there?”

    Guess what!!!😊

Are Liverpool the King of free transfers?

I wonder how much Milner,  Matip and Adrian are worth now, if we had to sell then today?

Of course they’re going nowhere and hope they all play a major part in winning us big trophies

Have to admit, Adrian has proven me wrong and done a lot better than I expected and his footwork and positioning has improved tremendously. At least now we have a reliable #2 at a good age for a GK when Alisson comes back. Always rated Matip. Big fan of the Bundesliga, followed him from his Schalke days. Thought he was superb in his first season with us. Always felt injuries were his problem after that like Keita is having now. Milner has gone far beyond what anyone would have expected of him but the frequent late tackles now show his legs are pretty much gone. Still will go down as a cult hero for us when he leaves though. All excellent signings. Larouci and Hoever could be the same in a few years.

Nicolas Pepe, only 1 goal and 1 assist for Arsenal so far, after 7 games.

Just goes to show the importance of taking the patient approach, rather than caving in to fan pressure for a marquee signing.

Not the right player, and definitely not the right price.

Jc, he’s been dreadful. No work ethos at all. To much of a luxury player with no fight in him

He would never fit into a klopp team

I reckon Pepe would fit but it would take time and I the mean time he would be considered a flop… Same with just about every forward that we could have bought, there are really few guys that could walk into our lineup, a few like Chiesa could entertain and flirt until a spot would open up.
