I don’t think I’d be happy with just that.
We have a history of not capitalising on strong seasons the following summer.
Let’s not do that that again.

We are in a position of great strength at the min. Both financially and prestige wise we are very attractive plus we have a manager many yearn to play for.
Chelsea are looking at a transfer ban.
City looking at a CL ban.
    Utd don’t have any CL.

Let’s capitalise on our strong positions and others weakened positions.
Do this right and we could really kick on again while leaving the others in our wake which could set us up for a decade or more.

I trust Klopp, Edwards etc to do the right thing here.

Ginger but by some reports, we won’t be spending big this summer or bringing in many players in?

I just keep hearing it’s a back up keeper and left full. Surely that’s rubbish as we have plenty of money from tv and the cl win

Totally agree. We need to strengthen the squad even more. If players leave they need to be replaced

I’d like to see a creative midfielder, someone who can play in anywhere in the front 3, centre back it Lovren goes and a back up left back

I don’t for one second believe we will only bring in a backup left back and keeper.
The Club now frequently puts out disinformation to aid its transfer dealings. Just look at recent summers for example.
I fully expect 2/3 players brought in to challenge for the first team.

Lol AK on Ziyech – I agree get Ziyech for that price no brainer. Im hearing the opposite on Fekir that the Club wont be returning back for him, from what Ive heard he probably wouldnt be a good fit either. This was from a respected journo on the bloodred podcast of the Liverpool Echo. But if we do go for him his price would be a lot cheaper than 50m.

The Echo is probably the main avenue for disinformation the club uses.

Asensio do not cost 80-100 mil, they are too much. Real has already spent a lot of money and wants to find teams to get rid off players.
IMO we must splash money for Fernandes since there are players in other positions cheaper and can fit in our team without much difficulty…

Wouldn’t pay any attention to talksport. Don’t for a moment believe anything is rigged. That’s how the fixtures come out sometimes. It’s a tough run in, but who said winning the league was ever easy. Ynwa

If we manage to buy Fernades for 45-50 mil then it will be a great success!!
However we must get rid of Lallana asap. We need money and I beleive that we can take 15 mil for a players who has offered very few things…

Pepe story seems to be gathering pace, a few sites in France reporting that we have put in a official bid. I think he could be a really exciting player, had one of the best dribbling stats around Europe last season.

Nothing strange about it mate, most of the top south american talent is in Brazil ATM, everybody in Europe is on their holiday and the window does not fully open until the 1st of July. Our first friendly game of the season is on the 11th of July, the club is in no rush to bring players in and its likely that most of our dealing have been signed already.

IDK if the links are true but I could at least see why we might be linked with Bruno Fernandes. He is very comfortable shooting from long range and last season one thing I noticed that was missing from our attack strategy was a long-range shooting. Too often our strategy revolves around taking the ball all the way to the gola line (aka Arsenball 2004) or ball over the top/through-balls to the front three. But there were more than a few games where we could have done with someone in our team who carries the long-range shot threat. Coutinho had it and opposition teams knew it, that wherever he was on the pitch that he had the ability to crack one in, it just gave our attack the extra dynamism. Getting Bruno Fernandes or someone like him will add that back. And yes I know Ox/Keita can hit them but they aren’t people you rely on for long-range shots.

I think there is more to it that we are going after Fekir… reading the reports about going after him again with a low ball offer and a very modest salary makes sense for me as the club has maintained our interest in players in the past. We did get Van Dijk, somehow Oxlade agreed to a salary cut, we identified Keita and paid one year in advance. What I mean is that the club does not back down when we have identified our targets.

I am afraid that either Klopp is satisfied with the existing team or yankees do not want to spend money. They probably found the chance not to spend. City becomes stronger and we can not follow them. If they are satisfied with 2nd place I am not!! WE ARE LIVERPOOL!!
