Nabil Fekir on the verge of joining Betis for 22m.Is this some sort of a joke. Why aren’t we swooping in for him. He’s 26 years old, extremely talented and as far as I can remember formed a great partnership with Laca.

People are adamant that owners will never spend, and the only chance for us winning trophies is through smart scouting and smart purchasing.Yet we miss out on players for bargain prices in today’s market.

Like this,we won’t even come close to winning anything.Even if there are fitness doubts,22m is a risk well worth taking for a player of his calibre in today’s market.

We don’t need another forward unless we sell and we don’t have much money so for me Fekir along with his fitness doubts would be a No.

What about sessegnon. We need a left back and he has not been mentioned although he is available and would be a reasonable price. I don’t know to much about him and when I have seen him he has not been outstanding and he was not always first choice but he seems highly rated.

As for Fekir our prio should be the defence first if thats the only deals we can do.

By the looks of it even Tierney seems out of reach. So why think that Fekir is a an option for us.

I actually think that we wont be able to sign anyone unless its a loan. Regardless of what Josh Kroenke and Emery say its just corporate BS as we have seen on countless occassions.

muffler – To be honest,I think Arsenal fans mentality has been totally screwed.First this club says that we have only a 40m budget. Then this club is bidding more for players, and now signings two-three players would be considered a good transfer window.Like seriously,I feel our club is as mid-table as it can get and the fans saying “consequently signing 2-3 players would be good”.

Don’t buy into that BS.Either our transfer window is good enough or it’s not.And IMO it certainly won’t be.In a time of mass overhaul,we can’t even afford “decent players”.Like seriously Most of the Arsenal fans haven’t even seen everton play and then they say he’d be a good signing.Even where zaha is concerned,it should not be considered as some sort of trademark signing. And just because palace quote 80m dosen’t mean we have to pay up.There has to be a reasonable analysis behind that price tag and zaha hasn’t passed 10 PL goals in a single season. It seems that This “fake rumour” of this 40m budget has backfired.we seem to have lost in all negotiatons.Celtic aren’t letting tierney go until we pay up.

Like honestly, why the hell are we even in for tierney.people say we don’t need fekir. We do need him.We need to get rid of ozil and replace him with fekir.I mean if real can get rid of 600k a week bale then so can we right.Saying we don’t need fekir and then being ok with spending 27m on Tierney(similar to Man utd flop luke shaw).Do we need a left back? Not at this very moment.

Truth is none of us know how much money there actually is.What we know is we have terrible negotiators. And if it’s the case of signings 4 players, for me they’d be a winger, two central midfielders and a Central defender.
What we also know, that this window along with literally every single window this club has faced since moving into the emirates era,it will be a one without any sort of Genuine Ambition or intent.

PS – I think the fans letter to josh was BS.It should have clearly been stated that achieve atleast a top 4 spot next season in the PL or face some serious consequences from the fans after the season.Josh says he’s trying? But who knows how hard he’s trying?

Real cant get rid of Bale either. Sure there are rumours about a chinese club but thats about it. Nobody wants to pay for him as he is too expensive same as Ozil.

I feel bale will leave.Albeit tough, both zidane and his agent have acknowledged that.Either way, getting rid of Ozil is much easier than getting rid of bale.As the latter gets paid twice as more.

If bale were on 350k a week, there would be atleast 10 suitors for him already. You look at pogba, even though he’s on 250k a week and flopped at Man utd people still want him.But no one wants ozil not because they can “Afford” to pay 350k a week. The top clubs can.But no one rates him, clearly.

Honestly,no one in the entire world rates him, certainly not anymore.only a deluded section of Yanks(I’m guessing as They certainly have no knowledge of football).Worst part is they blame Emery lol, someone who went as far as making him captain.Ozil has failed to perform far too many times, espescially on the big stage.

If we want to play a back four I think a left back is most definitely needed. Kolasinac isn’t good enough to play left back, wing back ok but not left back and as much as I like Monreal he is not getting any younger and it’s unrealistic to expect him to play every game.

No one knows if the 45m is the budget or was put out there so that clubs, as have done previously don’t think it’s Arsenal they’ve loads of money, milk them but clearly we’re not going to spend what most fans would like and I really worry that Auba might be sold. Certainly if we are to bring in someone for 60m plus it will be because we’ve sold.

And its a crucial season for Emery, finish outside the top four and he will be sacked. You have to feel for him – he has lost, arguably our best player in central midfield, a very good auxiliary striker and is about to lose the captain for nothing. At this moment in time we appear to be considerably weaker than how we ended.

We will make some signings (left back and central midfield – definitely) but I think he is going to have to look at the youth players such as Willock, Reis Nelson and Emile Smith-Rowe. Project youth never fulfilled the potential we all hoped before, mainly because the best players were sold but it did get us into the top four and it’s what the target is. Top four and bridge the gap it’s all Kroenke cares about.

And I expect Ozil to have a decent season. He is looking good in pre season and I think Emery will have learnt how to get the best out of him. He clearly wants to stay and I welcome that as long as he puts the effort in and plays as we know he can.

fatmop – I’m afraid you’re right about emery.I can already see him getting undeservedly sacked for not overachieving. The board will need to feed a head to the disgruntled Arsenal fans in yet another season of CL qualifying failure. They did it with wenger and they’ll do it with emery.personally the Arsenal fans will be to blame, they shouldn’t mention emery and no it’s not going to be a crucial season for him.Our squad will be the worst amongst top six and you can’t blame him for overacheiving.I hope the fans stick to the wecaredoyou campaign, and vent all their frustrations at the board atleast.

As for Oz,enough. We don’t need a decent season for him.If he wants to give us a decent season he should be on 50k a week. For me,he’s incapable to perform at the big stage and he’s proved that too many times.Like i said,no one rates him,no other club wants him.Says it all.

If Asencios injury is as bad as its reported then it could mean that Ceballos stays put.

Beeing this slow as we are its kind of comical now.

As for LK well Emery was right in saying that he will continue with the U23s. So it seems LK either has to buy himself out or find some club who can pay for him.

I’m not sure about the hype surrouding rugani. He’s too young, and if Juve really believed in him they wouldn’t let him go.We need another defender for sure though.I’d definitely go for someone more experienced.

Dont SELL alex Iwobi at any cost. It’s ridiculous if we let him go,and the whole of the decent transfer window will be undone! He’s the most under-rated player at the club.Obviously people “some” people like to jump on the bandwagon in criticising him but if you actually analyse him carefully and what he offers it’s a lot more than people think.he has the ability to make all the difference. His goals and assists contribution ratio per minutes played is very impressive. And remember in the EL final when all three of Auba, laca and Ozil went missing this guy came up with a banger.

I wouldn’t accept 40m for him,not even 50m.Nicholas pepe signing does not affect him they play on different flanks and iwobi can play centrally as well.
Get rid of the real issues that are ozil and miki instead.

I’ll be really upset, really upset if we let this guy leave. So what we’re selling this guy and spent 25m on a 3rd choice injure prone right back?back to square one.

Brilliant news to see that that Iwobi has now gone. A player who always made the wrong decision, shot when he should have passed and vice versa. In most matches he could not shoot either, always tried to side foot the ball into the net. One who never lived up to his early promise and had loads of chances but wasted them. Finally, a good bit of business, well done AFC.

I still think Miki should have been first out the door.

I also think we could have asked for more as EFC were desperate

I’m really really dissapointed we’ve sold Iwobi when clearly he’s more valuable to the squad than both miki and ozil who are on higher wages than him.Not to mention, pepe reamins our only natural winger now.
Stupid decision,my whole excitement of the transfer window is gone.I’m not one who was going to say it was a brilliant window even if we’d kept iwobi but this is really pathetic.

Again,to anyone who actually noticed iwobi’s contribution instead of Jumping on the clueless bandwagon. Also,we could’ve gotten more for him.EFC were ready to pay more than 70m for zaha.Iwobi’s goals+assists ratio per minutes is actually better than zaha’s.His creativity is also better. We could’ve gotten atleast 50-55m for him.

Personally I’m gutted Iwobi has been sold. I know he was hit and miss, but he is still so young and so much potential, 28£m isn’t that much this day and age either
