Mate I don´t think the plans are cancelled, they just took a step back because of public uproar, I reckon the clubs will make another go at this and refuse to sign a new tv-deal with the premier league when the time comes…

They won’t go on there own though Bingo an ESL is a natural step from where the CL currently is but if it’s going to happen it has to be done with the approval of all parties and not as a closed shop either.

It was never at the expense of the domestic Leagues nor should it “ever” be

yes 999 but lets also consider the fact that the Premier League needs a reformat because FIFA and UEFA are forcing the league to accept more games for their players, the FA are unwilling to do that so the only thing we get is a more hectic schedule…

36 teams in the Champions League, then we are gonna make the World Cup into a bigger competition, we are probably gonna see the Fifa world club cup get bigger as well…

The players could not even get 2 weeks off, I´ve even heard FIFA talk about a world cup every 2 years…

Honestly I don´t think its a healthy competition the way we have the leagues set up right now…

The domination of the big clubs is 97% all a cross Europe, the only upset I can remember in the past decade is Leicester…

Bayern have won 29 league titles and nobody else has more than 5 league titles there, its a league setup to please Bayern who can buy up any team in the Bundesliga…

We got similar problems here, with United dominating the Premier League up until the moment some rich guys bought Chelsea and City, who then dominated football…

Then of course we got the Serie A and Juventus who have won what 9 titles in a row there or something, before that we had AC-Milan dominating for a decade… Outside if the big four teams there, there is nobody that can make a sustained challenge for the title…

The same goes for Spain, besides Atletico Madrid no club there is capable of pushing Barcelona and Real Madrid…

The leagues are not competitive at all, we can easily predict the winners in each league every year if we just take our fan mind set out of the equation…

Every league in the world is turning into the Scottish division with one or two teams capable of winning the title, it is as boring as watching paint dry…

watch this and tell me why would Bayern opt out of a deal like that where they get way more money than anyone else in the league according to the TV-deals?

Or how can a club catch up to them? Cause every time there is a new exciting team coming up in the Bundesliga Bayern Simple buy their players to halt their progress!

Notoriousbingo, Spot on mate about Bayern buying the best from other German clubs. I remember for a couple of years when Klopp was at Dortmund. Before Bayern brought their best players, Dortmund were able to win a couple of league titles, German Cup vs Bayern and even got to a CL final. Bayern just simple brought their best players and dismantled the competition.

The same goes for the French division right now, there is no team in France that can compete with PSG… Its the same in Portugal as well, just a couple of clubs that have always slugged it out with each other while the rest feed them…

Something needs to happen right now, I´m not against slicing up the current formats, putting a salary cap on the division and then simple put all those big clubs against each other in a big European league with a relegation system…

Where the domestic clubs could enter into Europe, up their salary cap and try to compete against the big boys…

I reckon it would be far more competitive format than what we got already, far more evenly distributed amongst the clubs and a salary cap would be such a welcome addition!
