Was reading lists on other forums and some utd fans actually want city to beat utd on Wednesday? Surely that’s a wind up?

Utd are going for top 4 yet they want city to win so it means liverpool won’t win the league? That’s embarrassing. Surely these are not real utd fans? How can anyone take them seriously

Utd need top 4. They need a performance and result. When Liverpool played Blackburn in 95 I was supporting my team that day and we were playing for nothing.

    I really don’t understand it

Hi mate, hope all is well. Yes, a tad bizarre. I can’t go with that myself but there are plenty of fans who can. Not sure the thought process – some are so upset from Sunday that they think we don’t deserve to get anything despite the performance, some want us to be embarrassed again to either show the players up or to show up the owners, or to force them to spend more money in the summer. Others just don’t want Liverpool to win the league.

I also think there is a bit of the modern world in there, these days people seem ‘happy’ to lose if they predict it first as that way they get something right. So can go around saying ‘I told you so’.

I’ll be supporting Utd as usual though, and hoping for the win.

All good Alfie, hope you are keeping well

Ye I don’t understand it myself

Another utd hammering would make things so much worse as bizarrely, already you have fans on forums turning on ole.

He’s shown already he can get the best out of some of these players. Sunday was a low point but utd can play some good stuff. Utd play well then they can certainly give city a game.

Top 4 is still up for grabs. Utd have a chance for top 4 especially since results over the weekend.

Yep, not sure why people are turning on Ole already. The same set of players have seen off three managers already, so it’s pretty obvious where the problem lies.

I think a lot of the doom and gloom is that now people are realising that even our better players aren’t up to it. They have zero commitment and hunger, no pride or passion. That’s really poor. Major embarrassment. We can play when we try, but the effort should be a given.

Ye I think that’s the problem for all to see now Alfie. Some of these players don’t know what it means to play for utd

People question young as a full back but at least he cares

Shaw and mctwomniey aswell. They give it everything. Clear out is badly needed and the manager needs to be fully supported

Young isn’t a fullback, but that’s not his fault. Not sure why people criticise him for being picked there.

There’s a lot of frustration with the team etc at the moment, and that is understandable, but a lot of it is misplaced.

The team can play when they try and that’s what annoys me. How can professional sportsmen not try? I would rather they drop out of the lineup if they cannot be bothered to put in a shift. At least someone else would get the chance.
