Even without a yellow card Alonso is a sucide, now he is carrying one, i don’t how he will survive. Please replace him with Jorginho and Kovacic with Mount and revert yo back four. This is torturing to watch.

Complete wrong team selected by Tuchel. Even the subs that came on are wrong choices. Alonso a nightmare, Ziyech and Pulisic non existent. What’s wrong with Mount and Harvetz.

Well there it is. Not surprised and what a goal De Bruyne. He loves scoring against us to prove a point. Now we are 1-0 down watch for the reaction. We may not score but we’ll put far more pressure on their defence than we have at 0-0.

Sometimes you have to hold your hands up and admit City are currently a much better team than us great goal by KDB and a thoroughly deserved win.

No doubt anymore that City are much better than us. But again, Lukaku wasted 2 chances. Ziyech wasted a chance. De Bruyne did what this Chelsea team can’t do: shoot from outside the box.

Kanté was below par today, I have impression that Kovacic fought all alone in the midfield. Pulisic, Ziyech, Werner: sell them all. Not Chelsea quality.

“A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media believe that Sarr was one positive from today’s defeat.”

Agree with that I thought Sarr had another good game again today.

Anymore dropped points in the next couple of games and Tuchels job is no longer secure. Our top 4 status is in serious danger.

Ok, if we set the emotions of the loss aside, i think this back five thing is not working and it hasn’t been working since december. Teams have figured out to combat it. But the most worrying issue is that our wingers look lost and our wing backs are very slow. The formation completely sacrificed the the wingers we had, all of them look lost. Ziyech was poor today, but that is not his fault, likewise Pulisic was also poor. Lukaku may never give us what we want and i now believe that he was a panic buy after Dortmund rejected to sell Haaland. I think we should cut our loses and take £20- £30 million hit and get rid of him. I see he is creating a problem for the coach.

What is the solution? Revert to back four, drop Alonso and move Sarr to LB, bring back Havertz, Mount and Hodson Odoi, drop Pulisic, Ziyech and Lukaku in our next game. A 4-3-3 will do the trick. Let Havertz continue to play as our striker at least he wants to be at thw club, this donkey doesn’t want to be at the club, so let him find a club.

Well, i don’t necessarily believe Tuchel’s job will be under threat with today’s defeat as much as it was painful. He deserves more time to sort things, we owe him that. What he has achieved makes him to get that time and patience. However, i believe he should show tactical flexibility. The 3-4-2-1 has served its purpose, let us try other formations. Ziyech was poor today, but was a world beater at Stamford Bridge against Spurs whilst playing 4-2-3-1.

Our season is still alive, we are competing on two more cups and top four. And we are already in the final of a mickey mouse cup. Plenty to cheer.

I am sure Tuchel’s job is as secure as it has ever been and I doubt there are too many on here that even remotely think otherwise other than Moos and WF but then…….

At least WF, you can afford the reigning European Champion coach some time. That is reasonably fair in my books. Maybe until the end of the season. What would it take to keep his job? Top three and a trophy maybe to scrape in.

Moos, that was the first loss since West Ham and prior to yesterday our form was on the improve with players returning to the squad. I am sure now that one is out of the road it will be normal services resumed. We will make top four comfortably. United yesterday throwing away a 2-0 lead at Villa. Their issues are ongoing and chronic. I’d rather be where we are right now 🙂

Woke up this morning feeling like a rag doll only to find out United drew and suddennly felt on top of the world, it’s amazing how much hatred of a particular club can do to your emotions. Last time I looked they were up 2-0 so I didn’t bother to follow anymore football for the day. As for Chelsea leave it in Tuchels hand as it’s way too complicated for us souls to solve, think we really need to let go of a couple of players and trust our youth coming through a bit more, maybe bring in 1 or 2 thoroughbreds but who I can’t see anywhere?

Too ridiculous to even bother debating the sacking of Tuchel.

We lost one nil to the best team in the PL by a country mile and probably currently Europe too with 4 key players missing and we are managed by a Manager who not only just 7 months ago won us the Champions League but has also taken us to three consecutive Finals in less than 12 months.

Only the foolish speculate on Tuchel being sacked!

Very difficult to get a result at the Etihad with a front three that played as poorly as they all did yesterday.

I also thought Sarr has looked good in his last 2 games which is great as he had a bit of a bad game previous to the last 2, think we really need to find some cutting edge support for Lukaku upfront, our forwards are far too inconsistent. They also putting a lot of pressure on Kante and Kovacic by their lack of creativity. Difficult one for Tuchel as his tried them all. I think the players we can definitely say goodbye too come end of season are Ziyech, Alonso, possibly Werner and maybe even Azpliqueta.

Far far too premature to be rooting for a Tuchel exit!.I think we have the nucleus of a squad that can make us candidates for major honours but we need to clarify once and for all whether Rudiger and Christensen will be here next season so we can make active plans to replace or build a team around them.Kante is our biggest worry imo, very injury prone now but do we start chery picking games for him and use him sparingly or start phasing him out and bring in another holding midfielder?.We need on the ‘dead weights’ and ‘not up to the task’.Would love Tuchel to groom the likes of Gilmour Gallagher and a couple other hidden gems on the fringes or in the academy. Not Tuchel’s fault that injuries and it’s disruptions have cost us,trouble is no one has stepped up to offset the short-fall.Instead our woes have benn glaringly highlighted the dead weights that need to move on…I’ve always said Alonso is a liability as a defender, also not keen on Emerson coming back from loan,Azpi has been a loyal and adaptable player for us but afraid his time is up.Send Niguez back to Spain,Timo has flattered to decieve and ziyech is too inconsistent.Mount has gone off the boil and needs competition

Not sure why at the moment there is even a discussion to sack Tuchel. Did not he win the Champions League with Chelsea not so long ago by beating Man City? Did not he bring Chelsea to top 4 finish last season after having languished in the 9th position when he took over? Does he not bring Chelsea to the Carabao Cup final this season?

Man City are alone in this league. Even mighty Klopp cannot compete every year with them. Tuchel has not brought a lot of players. Most players have been at Chelsea before his takeover. And yet he has already won Champions League and UEFA Super Cup with Chelsea. Not sure whose choice Lukaku was, could be Tuchel’s, could be Abramovich’s but he has not work wonder so far and this clearly contributes to our inability to compete in the league. But I think the strategy, the tactics, there is nothing wrong with them. City were not that threatening yesterday, they were just able to score. And we were not. Lukaku wasted 2 chances. Ziyech wasted a golden chance.

We shall use summer to get rid of mediocre players and replace them with either promising academy graduates like Broja and Gallagher or with world class players like Haaland or dare I say Kylian Mbappe.

No one said Tuchel should be sacked, i don’t know why people always like to jump their guns. Moos only suggested that in the event of another defeat(Godforbid) Tuchel’s job will be under threat. That is just a hypothesis not his actual views. Historically Chelsea is an impatient club. No one knows what goes behind the scenes.

But personally, i don’t agree with that hypothesis. My belief is that Tuchel will be given time and resources to build his own dynasty.

Yesterday’s defeat was acceptable as he was facing the greatest coach the game has ever seen. So in some ways losing to the greatest in away match is not a shame.

Now our work is cut, we need to pursue top four and try to reach in the last four of the Champions league. Plus winning one or two of the mickey mouse cups. He is intergrating the you whilst at the same time remaining competitve, my only issue is with the back 5.

I predicted the Lukaku thing in the summer and you know i don’t get that much predictions wrong. Now as much as finding another striker is a priority, getting rid of Lukaku is equally important, he is not a Chelsea standard.

You two are at your best as soon as we lose to suggest this or that. Only days before we beat Tottenham for a scond time to proceed to a Wembley Cup Final. Nowehere to be see, why? Positive result. The first loss for about 6 weeks against the best in the land and its about Tuchel. Why? Why is there even a need to question his worthiness to manage Chelsea. Try whipping them into a frenzy on twitter. You’d both have an absolute ball on there.
