Always a! tricky game even more so after an international break. Could all depend on how many of the walking wounded can start and play a meaningful part.

Very tough 8 days coming up with Juve home the following Tuesday and United home on the Sunday.

A difficult match surely this will be. After international, and Leicester are wounded at the moment. I really don’t like playing against a team in their situation. They have very good players, a good manager, but the result did not come their way. I would not be surprised if Vardy scores early against us! I wouldn’t think about Juve yet. I would like us to go full force against Leicester. Any news about Mount? Lukaku, Werner? Will Thiago Silva come back on time, is there still a requirement to quarantine?

Havertz scored for Germany, Pulisic scored for USA, so hopefully they will be more confident when they will rejoin Chelsea back from internationals.

Aindro, I agree it’s one game at a time and the next game will always be the most important but I’m pretty sure Tuchel will be looking at his options for both of these games and he won’t go with the same team in both games given how close they are together and Tuchel will already be thinking of two different teams for each game.

In respect of the injured players I think we’ll have to wait for Tuchel’s pre match news conference on Friday ahead of the Leicester game for accurate news of their availability. Hopefully one or two will be available again across both these games.

An unexpected draw followed by a two week break and all of a sudden previous form and results somehow feel irrelevant especially since we are at the end of a string of matches against apparent inferior opposition and about to embark on a run of matches against better quality. A lot will depend on who we get back Werner/Lukaku, starting with the away game with Leicester. At this point in time a draw would be a great result. Leicester, Juventus, United, West Ham are all tough although I eye off that United match with an eye for a bit of revenge. They seem to have had one over us for a while now and I’d hate for us to play them back into some confidence and form. That’s one I really want us to win big time.

Lukaku trains, Alonso trains, Mount trains: I think we can be more optimistic for this match. Both missed the internationals but are back to training. We have Hudson-Odoi who decided not to go to U-21, Chalobah & Loftus-Cheek who were not called for internationals.
Just checked livescore, Kante does not start for France. So we should have a fairly fresh squad to face Leicester.

Let’s hope so Aindro but I’m a tad concerned that there were a number of players that have been previously missing who weren’t pictured in full training today or mentioned on the Chelsea site?

Mount looks like he’ll definitely be ok for Leicester though. (Pictured and mentioned).

Let’s hope everyone returns fit and ready to go from the internationals too.🤞🤞🤞

“Chelsea will only know for certain whether Romelu Lukaku is ready to return to play once he has demonstrated “explosive” movement.

So says injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.

Lukaku has missed the European champions’ last four matches after sustaining an ankle sprain against Malmo at the start of the month.

As quoted by football.london on 9 November, manager Thomas Tuchel revealed: “We will be more clear after the international break.”

And the Belgium centre-forward was pictured by the club’s medical team back in training on 15 November.

Dinnery predicts that it is very likely that the £97.5million summer signing will play some part against Leicester City on Saturday.

But the injury guru explained that Chelsea will only be sure once the 28-year-old has proved he is capable of dynamic movement in training.

“I would absolutely think he’ll be back this weekend,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.

“I know he has been involved in straight-line running. We don’t know whether there have been any explosive or dynamic movements, however.

“Those are the moments when you have a true idea of how that ankle will cope. But I don’t think there is too much to worry about.

“Thomas Tuchel has always said he was targetting game week 12. That has always been the plan.

“There were discussions before the international break about whether he could join up with Belgium.

“Obviously, the decision was taken not to do that. But everything has aligned now and I would think he will be back in the matchday squad on Saturday.“ 🤞🤞🤞

“Mason Mount has returned to Chelsea training after withdrawing from the England squad last week for dental surgery.
Mount had also missed recent trips to Newcastle United and Malmo through illness but is now back in full training as the Blues prepare to return to Premier League action on Saturday, as we visit the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City.

Fellow Academy graduates Trevoh Chalobah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi were all involved at Cobham today, while the likes of Ross Barkley and Malang Sarr were also pictured as Thomas Tuchel prepares the squad for Saturday’s return to action.

With a number of Chelsea players still to return from international duty, the numbers were boosted by the likes of Lewis Baker, George McEachran and Xavier Mbuyamba joining in with the main group.

You can view the best images from this morning’s session below, before the internationals return to the main group later on this week…” Chelsea Official Club site 15/11

Worryingly no mention or pictures of Lukaku etc etc taking part in full training.🤞🤞🤞

Lunch time kick off Saturday offers the opportunity to put some pressure on the chasers so three oints would be very welcome. Well aware we are a million miles from winning anything however if the opportunity is there then why not take it.

I think we are fairly lucky here as all our internationals are supposed to come back unscathed. Moreover Kante, Thiago Silva, Rudiger all rested as they did not play their country this week. We will need to wait for tomorrow’s press conference but I have feeling that Lukaku will be on the bench with Havertz leading the line one more time but Mount will be ready to start.

I won’t be too optimistic as Leicester have really good quality in them but just did not get the result recently. But if we aim to be in contention for the title, this kind of match we just really need to win. My team would be: Mendy – Christensen,Thiago Silva,Rudiger – Azpi,Jorginho,Kante,Chilwell – Mount,Havertz,Hudson-Odoi

I chose Azpi over James as he would deal better against Harvey Barnes I think.

Aindro, you keep choosing azpi over James to deal with pacey wingers but I don’t get it as james is quicker and stronger than azpi?

James instead of Azpi for me at RWB but would go with your 11 apart from that.

Fingers crossed for a good performance who ever starts. Hopefully we can see a good 30 mins or so from pulisic second half too.

Will be difficult as Leicester also playing 343 this season and so it will be harder to to find our wing backs for switches of play and force their centre back out if position. Will need our front 3 to be very fluid and sharp.

I agree with Aindro’s team too Lucky bar James for Azpi at Wing back.

I see James attacks sharper than Azpi but Azpi defends better than James. That’s why I chose Azpi for this kind of fixtures.

Werner was pictured in full training but no Lukaku nor Kovacic. So we should expect that both won’t start.

The draw with Burnley makes this a must win game cause theirs even harder games laying ahead, of course this itself is a very difficult game but winnable if everyone plays their part, we need the physicality of Lukaku for this game. Would like Loftus Cheek to start this game too.

    Update from Tuchel’s press conference:

““I can tell you Mateo and Romelu are still out for the game against Leicester tomorrow,” the German said during his pre-match press conference on Friday.

“Romelu is very close to [joining] team training, so hopefully he will join the squad on Sunday.”

Not sure if Werner can start but he would make at least the bench. Pulisic too. So we would have a deep squad once again and it’s good for the team.

Except the game against City, I think we’ve played well this season. I am hoping we’ll nick a tight win against Leicester. Our forwards cannot waste too many chances like they did against Burnley. I hope our finishing will be sharp tomorrow. I would predict the score 1-2 for us.

” Timo is in team training since yesterday,’ added the boss in better news. ‘Let’s see. We have another training. Then we will decide if it makes sense if he’s maybe in the squad or on the bench. We can only decide after his second training later.” Thomas Tuchel Press Conference 19/11. 🤞

Aindro, no doubt azpi is a better defender than James, but wing back for tuchel is effectively winger and James is much quicker getting back in to defensive line from high up field than azpi making his superiority as a defender much less significant imo.
