welcome Srilankan lion. I too started supporting Chelsea around that time hence the name. I think the rivalry was around long before that 1967 Cup Final. Jimmy Greaves leaving Chelsea , having a short spell at AC Milan and subsequently ending up at Spurs probably stoked the fire a little too. The 1967 FA Cup loss adding further I guess. Maybe 999 has views there regarding the distinct dislike between the two. I think the rivalry may well go three ways due to oneupmanship between the three clubs Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham and probably goes back to way before any of us existed on planet earth.

Good performance in the middle of the park and once again Mount, Reece and Odio impress. However see a big problem upfront the ability to finish off seems to have disappeared and the back is also a bit nervy with that inter passing around the box and opposition player right on their backs especially the keeper.

Not too bad, still the same problems upfront, players like Werner, Kovacic can’t finish, keeper believes his Mr. Cool,, can see a blooper coming up there. Would prefer Zouma to Christiansen.

Only disappointment other than the injury to Silva is Chelsea should have scored more goals but we played some nice football.

Well done hope we can keep it going so well. Checked the next few fixtures it’s all very winnable. Keep the momentum.

I cannot wait until Timo Werner will find his mojo again, will start scoring again. (hopefully, look at Torres who was awful since he was with Chelsea). But Werner is young, hungry, he was impressive with Leipzig, so I have to say that I am pretty optimistic that he won’t follow Torres’ path.

Look at Spurs yesterday, it would be a shame if we finish below them this season. They can’t play without Kane, they were awful. It’s early for us, but the team shows positive signs under Tuchel. It looks clearer on how we should play. And Tuchel seems to adjust the tactics depending on the opposition too, to maximize the players he has. The finishing isn’t there yet but it will come! We should have won against Wolves, but we won against Burnley and Spurs.

Great to see our new coach can out think and out play the opposition with tactics. We have missed that lately. We were becoming predictable and easy for the opponents to know what to expect and that gave them the opportunity to prepare a game plan against us. We need a good striker Hopefully we can get Haaland. The problem with Werner is not just his shooting, he is also a terrible passer of the ball, constantly giving it away. Would like to see us leave him up in attack when the opposition has a corner or is in our half. Maybe then we can see what he can do on break always. Hopefully that will come

67, there were running battles between Spurs and Chelsea fans in the 60’s and 70’s which has carried on to a lesser extent even niw.I think that’s where all the animosity has come from and it’s handed down to all the newer fans.

“We hate Tottenham” has been chanted by Chelsea fans for decades.

The 67 Cup Final was smack bang in the middle of it all too and didn’t help.

Losing that Cup Final was a massive disappointment to Chelsea fans having lost two consecutive Semi Finals previously and that didn’t help the relationship.

Losing Osgood to a broken leg that season was a massive loss with his silky skills and whilst Tony Hateley as his replacement always looked like he had 2 left feet to be fair he did head the goal that beat Leeds in the Semi Finals and he was incredible in the air.

White Hart Lane was a very dangerous place to go during that period especially if you wore colours. Cheers 9’s
