Jonny, Dandy thought you might like a read of this.
Be great to see dirty Leeds back in the top flight. Elland Road is much missed.
October 17, 2018 at 12:57 pm #1687652Teamtalk seems to love Leeds, they are the only lower league club they cover. Not sure I understand the obsession
October 17, 2018 at 1:23 pm #1687668They’re based in Leeds and I think the gaffer is Leeds too.
🐑
October 18, 2018 at 12:35 pm #1688008Wonderful Gas – you are entirely right. We’re Leeds based and I’m a Leeds fan. Prem would be far richer for having us back…. 🙂
But the decision to cover Leeds is also a business decision – we get traffic from Leeds stories second only to Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs & Chelsea.
Cheers – Marshy
October 18, 2018 at 12:49 pm #1688017shame – if you acknowledged there was more life in the Championship than just Leeds you might also increase your traffic
October 18, 2018 at 12:50 pm #1688018Nice one Marshy…I’d have Elland Road back on the fixture list in a heartbeat.
Did you read the article? Written by a United fan that but it sounds like Bielsa has got you on your uppers. My favourite line was from the fanzine and reading it in a thick Yorkshire accent.
“so this beautiful hipster football should be difficult for us to wear, yet somehow Bielsa’s urbane yet menacing demeanour tessellates perfectly with the Leeds United we know and love.”
Tesselates!
October 18, 2018 at 6:33 pm #1688139Thanks Tommy, that’s a good read. You gotta love Bielsa, he makes footballers better. He plays attractive football, wants to be entertained. This is the most fun football season I have had in nearly 20 years lol
It could all explode at any moment though as our squad shouldn’t be able to compete…..
Bielsa has recently donated £3m to Newells To rebuild their training complex. A legend in many, many ways.
I hope he stays for years but you never know. The possibilities might inspire him.
Nolu, you would be amazed how many Leeds fan there are around the world, like Russell Crowe lol. I thimk we might have lost a generation though.
October 19, 2018 at 11:56 am #1688340Not so sure Johnny. Leeds fans are pretty loyal animals and I still come across plenty on my travels. Really hoping this is your year and you get back in the Prem. Haven’t been in Leeds for about 8 years now. Always had a good night there, Harrogate as well.
October 19, 2018 at 4:50 pm #1688478Now then fellas(doths flat cap). Bielsa has been a breath of fresh air. The crowds are flocking, the football is adventurous and we’ve ridden a pretty horrendous injury list. My concern is squad depth, I think there are four or five teams who could blow us away with wages and transfer fees. It may or not be our year but it looks like it will be fun.
October 19, 2018 at 5:57 pm #1688488Be good to see Leeds back in the PL.
October 19, 2018 at 6:16 pm #1688491Good to see Leeds doing well
Beisla seems to be a right fruitcake but in a good way
October 19, 2018 at 8:17 pm #1688502The Leeds fans are flocking are they Dandy? 🤣
Only joking lads…I put that link up for a reason, grudging respect for a proper football club.
November 1, 2018 at 8:26 am #1693104@Johhny Utah – I am fully aware how big a club Leeds are. One of the first games I look for each year when the fixtures are released. My point is there are lots of big clubs in the Championship now but they don’t get the same coverage as Leeds do on here. I don’t care who the editors support, if they are professional they should stay neutral
November 1, 2018 at 2:31 pm #1693285If they’re going to allow them to count goals like their equaliser against Forest, they should have no trouble getting promoted.
November 1, 2018 at 3:07 pm #1693310To me that goal is cheating – if a player can get retrospective action now for diving, why cant they get retrospective action for that offence?
November 1, 2018 at 3:37 pm #1693326I think all forms of cheating should be subject to a review and subsequent punishment. Protests of innocence to be met with a firm tough shit, lad.
For consistency there should be one man leading all the investigations, a cheating tzar if you will. He could be called Retrospective Man and conduct all his reviews in his trunks and a cape.
I’m only half joking, outside of the box thinking needed.
November 2, 2018 at 12:01 am #1693410For something as blatant as that, retrospective action against the linesman might be a good idea too. And, I don’t see why they can’t take the point off the cheating team, and give an extra two to the victims. That might make them think twice before cheating.
November 2, 2018 at 5:41 am #1693414Would love to see teams like Leeds, Blackburn, Forest, Birmingham, etc in the EPL. The league should be increased to 22 teams with more Wednesday night games and less boring meaningless internationals. I don’t about everyone else but some of us can never get enough of Premier league games.
