Having No Money and using the youth team or signing youngsters is what Wenger is all about. If that’s the route we are going which seems likely as we have no money, what about him as director of football?

    no no and thrice NO!!

    totally the wrong move.

AW is a legend, he deserves that status even after the poor last 12 years….BUT his time with us is done, if he hangs around in ANY capacity we end up with the same issues as Man U, fergie hangs around and casts his long shadow over everything.

AW stopped spotting talent a long time ago

what we need is DoF given a clear instruction of what Arsenal DNA is, how we want to play and what budget we have to achieve that, then along with the scouts they find the players they can to fit this remit, it doesnt take AW to do that and IMHO would cause more issue than he fixes

Assume this is a pathetic wind-up or you’ve completely lost your marbles. This egocentric tyrant should have gone in 2010, but hung on when he’d long since had his day. He kept telling us any club would love to have him, yes, that’s why no-one is in for him as they realise he’s a busted flush. If he’d gone, even four years or so ago, we could have had Klopp, who had decided to leave Dortmund. But stupid fans thought that because he beat the mighty Villa in the Cup Final, “he should be allowed to decide when he goes.” Yes,that worked out really well didn’t it? I hope he never comes anywhere near the ground ever again.

I feel he has more than undone all his good work. 12 poor years and then has left us in a right mess. We are stuck with Ozil until his contract expires. Mkhitaryan is another waste and who will buy Mustafi and Xhaka from us? He has left us with a mentally weak squad that Unai is struggling with. This team will bottle it as soon as they have the chance to achieve something and it’s sad to say but top 4 is a big achievement for us under the circumstances.

Now we will be looking for bargain buys.

He shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near this club.

And you suggest this notion even knowing the last two decisions he took while Arsenal manager was handing Ozil a 350k a week contract(that is costing us every single week, and giving Miki 200k a week. That’s 500k a week literally spending on two most unreliable players. We could easily accomodate 3 real top class players for those wages. No ways.Dear me some of the comments i come across.

He was a legend once upon a time but tried to undo all of that just before he left, although the blame must be shared with the board as well.

It was just a question fella’s, no malice or wind up intended it crossed my mind so thought I would ask the question. I think you are all probably right. Although I do believe he could do a job it would make the club and fans Toxic again and add further damage to his reputation. I will add not trying to open this up again but we would all take his shit??? 12 years, of 10 years champions league and a domestic cup every few years today if someone offered that to us tomorrow!
