Everyday of the transfer window that goes by, and it worries me what our team lacks. How can we possibly call ourselves title challengers when we’re not willing to spend money. When teams who finished above us are already spending thrice the money we have and probably will, then obviously we will have no chance at the title.

Say what you want to convince yourself, it has most been proven spending money wins you titles.Wenger has always taken the easy route. This club has the audacity to charge us most expensive prices in Europe but when it comes to investing in players we do the least possible.Enough to shut up the fans until the next time.
I’m seeing managers like Jose mourinho and Guardiola going gaga in the market.Really they’re buying players for fun. They know pressure is not them to win titles and they’re not afraid to sepnd.I know we don’t exactly have as much spending power but we can spend more than we have been doing.Wenger simply dosen’t want any pressure on him, does he?What exactly is the ambition of this club?Because nowhere in the last decade has it ever been proved it is to win titles.

If we want to be serious title challengers, we should at the least get another defender and a midfielder.Even though it may seem we don’t desperately need any of these when quality is available you go for it!!

So this transfer window has been a carbon copy of so many others. Stories of millions to spend, the early signing followed by promises of more to come, excuses, delaying tactics, distractions, claims that injured players will be like new signings and then guarantees that players that want out won’t be sold. Of course not, Wenger is happy to throw £100million away on Ozil, Ox and Sanchez. Nothing changes in the world of Arsene ‘Clouseau’ Wenger.

Have to say, I am becoming more frustrated by the day in this window. Don’t get me wrong, I think Kolasinac and Laca have been good additions. Upgrades on what we had already so no complaints on that front. The complaint as it stands would be that it is not enough and we still have stacks of deadwood in the ranks that needs to go the other way.

It seems now that the Lemar deal is dead and its clear that we wasted weeks messing around on this one. Monaco would have sold at the right price and even more likely, if we moved nice and early in the window. It’s reported that we had at least 3 offers rejected that did not meet the valuation and after a couple we start to look stupid. Then of course we left it late, Monaco sold off other assets to teams who went in and paid the required price. They then became less likely to sell and now it’s not happening. My take is, Wenger was scared to commit to the fee Monaco wanted and the only way that deal was going through was if Alexis or Ozil left. Then he would have sanctioned it through panic.

Consistently bidding less than the clubs valuation seems to be common theme with Arsenal. As stupid as it sounds, I wouldn’t put it past this club to be doing deliberately in order to look as though they are making an effort in the window.

The real problem over here is and why I cannot definitely see another signing coming in is because of our squad size and inability to get rid of fringe players.Basically, there are players such as chambers, perez etc who will get no playing time and although other clubs are interested in them they’re not willing to match our valuation of the players. Why would they? We’ve been constantly undervaluing our own players for years now.Our negotiation team is pathetic, and the management incharge of contract situations is beyond terrible.

Just on a side note,I don’t care much about other players but unless we sign van dijk I so hope we don’t sell gibbs.Because Monreal has been converted into a centre back in our three man defense. That leaves kolasaniac as the only viable option who can play as the wing back.

Andy528, You’re spot on. I have long thought, and stated on here, that Wenger under bids deliberately safe in the knowledge the bid will be turned down. Look at the players he has boasted about not getting in all because he haggled about the fee. Its madness haggled about every penny going out but happy to lose Sanchez, Ozil and Ox for nothing. You’re also right about Lemar, the more players Monaco lost elsewhere, and all of this deals happened quickly, the less likely to see Lemar to us. It has the stamp of Wenger all over it.

I’m gobsmacked to see that Blaise Matuidi has joined Juventus for a fee of £18 million!! This guy is pretty much everything that our midfield lacks and that price is an absolute bargain.

Wenger isn’t interested in signing what we need, as I keep saying nothing will change until Wenger has gone. No doubt there will be a final day cheapo rubbish signing designed to appease fans. It won’t.

When will this spoilt, stubborn, obstinate, incapable, jerk of a has-been get the message that he’s finished? He couldn’t motivate a prisoner who’s been inside for 10 years and just let out to score in a brothel. I despise him- he’s eroded any little enthusiasm I had left.Selection, tactics, motivation, – all worth £8-9m?! Get out Wenger and stay out, no one wants you. Oh sorry, fatmop and stev2bath1 do.

Well I did say 3 years ago we should have gone for Klopp. The no alls on here reckoned he was useless not fit to tie Wenger’s shoelaces. He has inferior players, has spent less money but look at the difference. Liverpool players love him, they’ve bought into his methods, they play with verve passion and pace. Look at Wenger, he buys rubbish like Xhaka and Mustafi, Debuchy and Holding. Bellerin, Mustafi, Sanchez, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil and Sanchez want to leave. No one makes any effort for this clown. When will you lot learn. The longer Wenger stays the worse it will get.

That would be a start. If only the other loser Kroenke could follow so that we have someone with more ambition, that would be a bonus. I have rarely seen such an inlet performance by Arsenal. The 6-0 drubbing at the Bridge was the last time we were so thoroughly outplayed in the league. Where do we start? Bellerin at left back, Holding instead of a German international we forked 35M for last year, Xhaka in midfield. The body language of the team suggests that most players want out. The main culprit is the loser who is happy to pocket 8.5M a year. Tuchel is available. If we want improvement, I’d say pay the loser whatever severance, and get Tuchel. With the same squad we will do better. I am confident of this. Wanker out!

I kid you not.I don’t think I saw a moment today during the match where I saw wenger standing on the touchline. For someone to be paid £8m a year to sit on the bench while your team is getting hammered is mind boggling. It can never happen at any other club.

Gazidis and kronke are the ones driving the club to the ground because of their decision not to sack wenger.I mean even if wenger leaves, we know nothing will change until those two clowns go as well.

jamie carragher is 100% right when he said this starts at the top of
the club.kroenke and that useless, pathetic ivan the terrible are a
disgrace to this great football club of ours.wenger’s position has
been comfortable for many years and that falls on those pathetic
    losers who settle for it.

what did gazidis say.we searched the world and couldn’t find anyone
better.what a disgraceful thing to say.wenger sits on his backside
because he can’t and doesn’t know how to fix things.he’s an
attacking coach not a defensive one,and when things go wrong he
hasn’t a clue how to fix them.every one of our outfield players were
a disgrace today.it won’t be the last time we’ll say that this season
unless things chance.the board have always hidden behind wenger.the
biggest bunch of cowards in football.

we need a new owner who will sack wenger and the current board, and get
us to compete for the very best players which we are not doing.

Kroenke isn’t going to leave, as I keep telling you he is an investor nothing more. He knows nothing about the game and he allows the BofD to run the club, they in turn have handed over the running of the club to Wenger. There is nothing that can be done about Kronke, I doubt he watches games and probably doesn’t even check the results. The mess at the club is entirely down to Clouseau, no one else. The longer Wenger stays the worse it will get.

Rinse and repeat. Sits on his hands, he will get up when pressure mounts and then it is half arsed approach or he gets up in the winter to have the usual fight with his oversized coat/zip

Our defence has more holes than swiss cheese. Holding is way out of his depth at this level and he was a total train wreck today. Bellerin has regressed beyond recognition, Monreal a liability and Koscielny is past his prime. Collectively there are an accident waiting to happen. Oh wait it has already happened. The rest of the team were just as rubbish with special mention to Ozil for his ability to turn invisible whenever the going gets tough. The only bright side was watching the fool Wenger wringing his hands and biting his nails on the bench. Based on history he will probably panic buy the last few days of the window and overpay for players we don’t need. Come back Kim Kallstrom. All is forgiven.

I for the life of me cannot understand why lacazette was dropped for welbeck.,I actually rate and like welbz.I think he’s underrated and often gets unfair criticism(his poor finishing aside).

But you just don’t spend over £50m on a striker and drop him in such an important game. And when you get him on, you don’t play him as a winger.Wenger’s intentions are so so worrying for just about everyone. He has played lacazette more in a wing position than in a central(which is what we needed).I think this is a similar situation to perez’s.Signing the player and not knowing what to do with him.

Still early days, but lukaku and morata have both already done better jobs at their respective clubs.I was not convinced by lacazette.I actually think he’s a decent striker, but he lacks the hunger and desire to be world class. He dosen’t seem upset at not scoring, and his mentality seems piss poor. But at this moment so do all the other players playing under wenger’s Arsenal!!

Lacazette lost out because his number was not drawn in Wengers lineup lottery. It would not have mattered one bit though since no player on or off the pitch wanted to play

You seem to have forgotten Kolasinac who got dropped after one game. Wenger prefers Bellerin wide left. If Clouseau the clown reverts to a back4 (although where will he get 2 central defenders from) there is no place for Kolasinac at all. You can argue that he was free but and this may come as a shock but he is one of our top earners. The longer Wenger stays the worse it will get.

Its taken a while, well years actually, but most of you now seem to have woken up to what Ive been telling you for years. I pleaded with the BofD to get Klopp in when he left Dortmund, you all said ‘why do we want him, he’s useless Wenger is superior’ but I knew better. Klopp has taken an average squad and added VFM talent that Wenger wouldn’t touch, he has spent a fraction of the money Clouseau has spent and has produced a team of verve, pace, aggression. Look at Can v Xhaka, Mane v Welbeck, Salah v Ozil. It was a joke performance one manager on the way up and up, the other totally clueless and turning Arsenal into Fred Carno’s circus. The BofD have to accept this cannot go on. Sack this bumbling fool and get Klopp’s protege Tuchel in TODAY. The longer Wenger stays the worse it will get.
