    Anyone who even tries to claim that those players are playing for the manager needs to get off the crack pipe. The attitude and effort was fucking beyond disgraceful. The cunts only seem to react when they come under pressure following shit performances. The manager and coaching staff cant get a performance out of the lazy fuckers. It’s not much of a surprise when you see Ole’s pressers. If that is how he is talking in team meetings then we are fucked long term. Some of the senile tangents about his playing career he goes off on are truly cringeworthy.

    I expect Pogba to rule himself out for the next 6 months with a broken nail. He pulled this same stunt last year and Ole kept saying he’ll be back for the next game. Only he wasn’t. We missed the chance to sell him 18 months ago and it wouldn’t surprise me if Pogba was willing to wait for another 18 months before walking out on a free transfer. His career will forever be a case of “what if” as he’s contributed next to nothing for United. New challenge? How about stepping up to your current one! Wants to win trophies? How about proving you’re worth it. I hated the whole clamor surrounding “Pogback” as he never did anything at United in the first place and hasn’t in the second period either.

    I mainly came to this thread for the lols of the Ole Out Crowd complaining about their team winning. But I will also say this:

    It wasn’t a very good performance by any stretch and several of the players have to do much, much better.

    But like I said beforehand, games after international breaks are tricky because the players are usually disrupted and the team did look rusty today.

    If we win our game in hand we are four or five points off the top.

    People can spin it any way they want but that is nowhere near bad enough to warrant sacking the manager.

    For the manager to get the sack things realistically would have to get significantly worse, because if he is sacked when it isn’t clear that he should be and the new manager comes in and there isn’t a clear improvement it wouldn’t take long for the narrative to change and people staring to question whether the sacking was right.

    So the Ole Out:ers must support the opposition teams much more lol.

    Perhaps they can come up with some chants for the Southampton players that we face next?

    Seriously though, happy about the three points and more breathing space for Ole.

    Add another CB and DLP to this and we could possibly challenge for the title.

    Add Grealish, Haaland and possibly a RB as well and we could possibly win it.

    But the team has to find more rhythm and flow.

    Playing like this against better opposition won’t do.

    If it turns out that Ole isn’t good enough at this level then he will be replaced sooner or later, so the Ole Out:ers on here should just calm down and relax.

    But as of now it simply hasn’t been proven that Ole isn’t good enough, no matter how much garbage anyone throws his way. Maybe it will be proven going forward – or maybe it won’t.

    The record with Moyes, LVG and Mourinho shows that United only sack managers when it becomes mathematically impossible to reach top four or when top four seems very unlikely.

    As of the time of writing this, that is not the case. If we win our game in hand we’ll be four or five points off the top of the PL table, having started the CL in a very good fashion barring one match.

    There is a difficult run of games coming up so things can of course start to change quickly. But I for one am hoping United can reach January whilst in touching distance of top four and still in the CL. Then get at least one signing in and obtain an effect similar to the effect of signing Fernandes had last season.

    As umpteen people have pointed out here it has all become depressingly predictable – that is even down to how this manager and group of players seem to turn me off and make me more miserable with each passing game.

    Predictable manager with his team selections:
    1. the slow and lazy combo with a spine of Martial, Mata, Matic, Maguire; or
    2. the square pegs in round holes with a diamond of Pogba and McT out wide and full backs who HATE the ball; or
    3. the disney front 5 with 1 midielder to mind the house and the predicability of all our attack coming thru the middle.

    Predictable manager with his musings;
    1. No break;
    2. Short break;
    3. Int’l break;
    4. No fans;
    5. No luck;
    6. No time.

    As someone pointed out last night, the difference in effort by Martial and Cavani was truly worrying – Martial couldn’t give an absolute Monkeys.

    The truth is tho, the players know Ole is hopelessly out of his depth. I reckon a lot of them like him because they can walk and trample all over him, compounded by a rotten club structure – we cant move players on because of their inflated wages and their notional balance sheet value on our books which is distorted beyond reason.

    There were good pros on the pitch last night like AWB, Maguire, Lindelof, Matic, Mata and Cavani. The problem is the former 3 are simply not good enough and the latter 3 are simply past it with years.

    Pogba, Martial and Rashford have undoubted talent but their hearts and minds are simply not in the club at all but they keep getting picked as Ole is trying to keep himself in a job that he never should have gotten in the first place. For one of the biggest organisations in the world in their industry, we have one of the weakest, if not the weakest, management structures and personnel possible.

    It continues to beggar belief and the proof is in the horrible fare being served up to us on and off the pitch week in week out by this bunch of miscreants.

    In fairness Sam Johnstone has had a worldy on goal yesterday. Really should have scored 3 or 4 in the end.

    I forgot to add that Vdb or Cavani should have started ahead of Rashford who was clearly not fit yesterday.

    happy, yes Johnstone played like DDG

    De Gea made a world class save with his foot as well. Top save!
    The optimist in me is saying that, in this crazy season, any of those top teams could win the league if a 10 game run is put together. If we win our game in hand then we’re right in the mix. But the performances really need to improve, Martial and Rashford need to get back to their form of last season. Greenwood too. Plus we need someone else other than Bruno driving the team forwards, i don’t think that person is Pogba. Can it be Donny?!

    The pessimist (realist) in me says we’re in for a shockingly inconsistent season and, by the end, Ole will have taken us as far as he can.

    Rashford’ s crap performance yesterday had fuck all to do with his fitness. It’s just typical of him and the likes of Martial that they can look a million dollars one week but then can go for weeks on end looking like ten bob Sunday league footballers.
    It’s been almost a month now since Rashford came on as sub and scored that hat trick against Leipzig, but in the four games we’ve played since he’s stunk it out in every single one, he has never looked like scoring a goal or making a meaningful contribution.
    It’s no wonder the whole team has this boom and bust culture when your 2 main guys up front blow so hot and cold from one week to the next, simple as that.

    Depressing performance. I don’t understand our lack of pressing. Only two positives for me were De Gea continuing his improvement and Telles already looks like our best full back since Evra
    Surely Tuanzebe, van de Beek and Cavani will all start against Basaksehir on Tuesday?

    CR, you really need to take that smug head out of your own arse. People aren’t complaining about United – we never do. But we are very worried about the way we play, the way we set up, a lot of the players brought in or not brought in. We’re worried about the state of the club under the ownership of your pals, the Glazers and feel that neither Woodward, Solskjaer, the coaching staff and indeed most of the players are fit to represent the club we love. No lucky 1-0 win at home against WBA will change that.

    Blacky – The chance Rashford had where he just chipped it into Sam’s hands from about 4 yards was scandalous. Just fucking bury it!
    It’s mad how much we miss Mason Greenwood in that forward line.

    Rashford and Martial only look good when we are playing on the break when they can use their pace. Fact is neither of them have the football intelligence to be a “striker”. They have been coached badly or not at all in movement and team play. Martial is absolutely clueless playing centrally as he just doesn’t make runs or create space coupled with the fact that he’s a lazy cunt like Pogba where they expect their team mates to do all the dirty work for them.
    CR, I didn’t here any of the other managers blaming their teams performance on the int. break because none of them played as shite as we did! Open your eyes.

    Homer, to successfully press the opposition, you need to have players who:
    1. Want to do it (desire)
    2. Are able to do it (athleticism)
    3. Know when to do it (coaching)

    I hope you now see why we don’t press!

    Mufc, must agree. Also Jota looking a brilliant purchase already and actually has them looking better up top, if that was possible.

    A team and a coach who are very willing and very able.
