Well, as was predicted by many, it was a straightforward win for city. Although you could argue it was another couple of mistakes by de gea. Imagine if that was mignolet…

City now on a 11 game winning run and deep done, can’t see them dropping anymore points.

For me it was the Everton away game and the Leicester home game, where we should have won. It will be hard to take if we lose by one point.

If city get to 98 points and 100 from the previous season, the standard is out of this world.

I can’t see any team being able to match them for the next few seasons, unless we win it this season.

I just hope it was the Mahrez penalty miss which costs them!!!

We must win something this season, I want the league badly but would more than settle for the champions league and Number 6.

Whatever happens in the next few games, it’s way too early to be posting something like this.

The title was lost when we drew against Leicester and West Ham. The away games against Everton and Utd cost us as well. City had more quality players than us and very few injuries. We tried but for onve more time we did not manage to take the title. 2002, 2009, 2014, 2019….

    Where the league was lost?

    Such a poor question

In an exceptional season another team looks like they may be better then us. Hats off to them. As Klopp said looking back at specific games is stupid but what we still have is three games which we still have to win just in case man city fuck up. I would be more pissed if we drop points know & give city an easy ride in the next few games. lets keep the pressure up take it to the last day of the season.

Stupid post. The league is not lost, not yet. And it’s over 38 games so signalling out one particular game is ridiculous.

If, and it’s still a big if, City win their final 3 games, then I believe their 2nd half of season will be P19 W18 L1. It wont be a question of where we lost the title, it would be how they won it.

If you don’t win the title you shouldn’t be over-hard on yourself. Your points accumulation would have won the league in most PL seasons, problem is you’re up against a team with great financial backing, and obviously a good team in general.

If we start thinking in isolation and concentrate on these two games, then we dismiss the 70 points players had toiled to amass when we played these two teams. Such a tally isn’t attained by dallying on the pitch and it’s normal that there were going to be draws somewhere even at Anfield.

I don’t think we lost the league at all

    It’s an unreal points tally

We were always going to drop points at some stage like west ham etc

Big game for me was Everton. We needed to win to stay in control. We knew a win would mean everything was in our hands

    City are just to good.

A case of do near yet so far again for us.

City won their first Prem league title on the final day of the season, in their final match, with the final kick of the ball in injury time.

It’s never over until the very last whistle, unless of course it’s mathematically impossible.

Firstly, the league isn’t lost as yet. Second, to isolate any few games as reason that we lost the title is ridiculous. It’s easy to point st those games against Leicester, West Ham and Everton but the fact is we’ve just dropped 6 points against teams outside the top 6 which is at the moment better than ManC. Another thing, if we do win our next 3 games, we would have won every EPL tile bar last season and possibly this season.

Indeed the league is not lost but in all truth and honesty can you see City slip up now? Pep and his boys were in full on focus mode yesterday and that will take some shifting.

But, if I had to point to a part of the season where we ‘lost it’ I have to say, and I am still irked about this, is Klopp fielding a full strength team in Napoli (and losing) and then playing City (of all teams the following weekend) and drawing 0-0. Prior to that Napoli game we’d just worked our socks off and got a good point at Chelsea and we were knackered after that game but Klopp still put out such a strong side a few days later and so early in the comp (we’d beaten PSG at home in our first CL game so no huge deal if we didn’t win in Italy but to put another 90 minutes on those players, I thought, wasn’t the best choice).

You can point certainly to Leicester, West Ham, Everton but you have to take more points off the team you fighting with. It cost us 30 years ago with Arsenal (drawing at Highbury and obviously losing at home) and it could (and likely) cost us again.

Ah come on now. I get that this was likely deep into a late night session but the question is just terrible. You can’t try and find out where something went wrong when there’s still a good chance that it will go right.

I don’t need a trophy to tell me that my team is fantastic but obviously this is the goal. It is agonising that we’re doing so incredibly well and not way out in front but you cant choose when you’ll have a great rival and City are a truly great rival. We really shouldn’t in all honesty be able to compete with them but everything at Liverpool is just fantastic. We’re a well oiled machine from top to bottom. We’re genuinely world class now, one of the top 5 teams around the globe and this is something to be proud of.

We’ve got to go for the 97 points, a tally that utd have never achieved. We’ve got the CL also. Do any of ye assume Barca are gonna knock us out? No, I bet not a single one has such an assumption because we’re ****ing quality and we know it. of course it might happen as Barca are a top top team also.

This journey that Klopp has brought us on has been just wonderful, with us improving seaosn on season. Instead of worrying about a missed chance, perhaps it would be better to look at the trend and think “jesus… are we gonna be better again next season?”.

    Keep the faith boys.
