Our supporters are letting us down, they are now at the Pier Head getting drunk & not caring about Convid19. Jurgen & the team have pleaded with them not to do this but they don”t care. They have let our club & the City down these actions have tarnished our PL win.
They have loaded the guns that other supporters & cities can fire us as “This is typical of the Scousers” etc., Although this just seems to be the trait of us English.Ashamed & so so disappointed.
June 27, 2020 at 1:29 am #1852000Who gives a flying fuck what other people do or say about us.. We are the champions and they’re going to find ways to play down we’ve done. If a group of fans wants to behave irresponsibly it just reflects badly on them as individuals.
June 27, 2020 at 2:34 pm #1852094liverlad, unfortunately this is prevalent all over the UK as we saw this week with the beaches in Bournemouth it’s mainly the under 40’s who seem to think that they are immortal and immune from Corona virus when they’re not and even if these people who are completely disregarding the social distancing rules don’t get it themselves they could pass it on to other members of their families.
I understand the Liverpool fans desire to celebrate the title it’s been their Holy Grail but the danger hasn’t passed and it’s completely irresponsible wherever it is happening hopefully last night was the end of it for this weekend in Liverpool but I fear for the final home game when the trophy will be presented in an empty Anfield.
June 28, 2020 at 1:03 am #1852227covid19 is the biggest gift we have gotten in a century or so, it has levelled the playing field for so many…
Who gives a flying fuck if people want to enjoy life, they are exposing themselves to the risks, anybody else that got a problem with that can stay at home for the next decade.
Keep on partying and cheers!
June 28, 2020 at 1:32 am #1852228Yes, because thousands of people dying unnecessarily is a gift to mankind. I can’t believe anyone would make a claim so idiotic. If you haven’t got a problem with that you’re a fucking moron.
June 28, 2020 at 8:16 am #1852242Dear oh dear.
That’s an insult Bingo to all those who have died from Coronavirus, had you lost a much loved family member as our family has you might have a different view.
The post above follows hard on the heels of other questionable posts on the General forum from you,you need to take a much more considered view of what you are posting before you create a problem for yourself Bingo because some of what you are currently posting is just not acceptable.
June 28, 2020 at 9:48 am #1852264Nine. thank you for your well measured reply.
I know that it would most probably would have happened elsewhere if another team had won the PL. to me we have let LFC & the City down, the powers that be in the City have said that they have let the CIty down Klopp also( he says “Don’t follow the idiots”), thankfully Facebook agree too & is alive with posters condemning the actions at the Pier Head.
The same crowed probably condemned the beach crowds & BLM etc.,Razor. I didn’t think your initial reply was very good, but your response to “the moron” was perfect.
June 28, 2020 at 10:34 am #1852281liverlsd, yesterday we saw more Raves in Clapham and Tooting Bec and you wonder what is wrong with people.
It’s not a Liverpool fans problem buddie it’s happening everywhere but Liverpool were one of the most effected areas and I hope the previous two nights don’t add to that.
This terrible disease has bought so much suffering to so many not just in the UK but across the world.
It touched our family where we’ve lost a much loved Cousin and we’ve watched a good friend who’s a Consultant in a Hospital with a wife and three young children battle against it for three weeks and he works in a Hospital where he’s seen two of his colleagues lose their lives to it too.
I fear we will be dealing with the effects of this for a very long time as it’s likely to cost hundreds of billions of £’s to try and right the UK economy and millions will lose their jobs through it with all the damage and upset that will cause to individuals and their families.
It’s probably the most damaging situation the UK has had to face since WW 11 and more people in the UK have now lost their lives to Corona virus than in the Blitz.
We all have a duty to be responsible and try our best to keep this thing under control as best we can but imo the majority do realise that and are playing their part. Cheers 9’s
June 28, 2020 at 2:59 pm #1852360Nine. Another great post, yes i am sure it would have happened to any club that had just won the PL but it still has spoilt it somewhat for me.
Cheers.
June 28, 2020 at 5:39 pm #1852403Jesus bingo what a ridiculous post.
LiverLad; it was always going to happen mate
Totally agree with what nine says.
Looking forward to a proper parade when this is all over
June 28, 2020 at 11:31 pm #1852479Sean.
At the time I didn’t even think about it as I too happy winning the PL, but you are right with loads of people not social distancing it was bound to happenCheers
June 29, 2020 at 12:51 pm #1852606I kind of understand where you’re coming from Bingo, I saw a photo of a Peruvian girl with flies on her face on Yahoo, and then next to it celebrities wearing their designer clothes but mate Corona is hitting the poor also.
Instead of focusing on Corona’s equalising effect we should be thinking more of the poor, of the way corrupt officials and government members are unashamedly even siphoning charity money to their own account in may countries. The well being of the population is the least of their priority.
June 29, 2020 at 1:24 pm #1852612Covid is a non situation over here, the reason why is because everybody has food and housing and the few that got sick got treatment… There is no difference between covid and a regular flue season over here but we were way a head of the curve compared to England.
I also know plenty of refugees and they love the situation, got themselves a fancy hotel room here in Iceland during quarantine and called up their relatives to join them and kudos for that.
Cause honestly the virus is less lethal than your government.
June 29, 2020 at 1:45 pm #1852617Because the situation in your country is a reflection of the situation elsewhere… Not to mention the millions who’ve lost their jobs worldwide and are struggling to make ends meet on minimal government payouts on top of the death toll. But it’s not a problem because it’s all rosy for bingo and everyone else is overreacting. Dumbass.
June 29, 2020 at 2:48 pm #1852640NB : And just because your country has not felt the affects of COVID-19 as much does not make this Pandemic ok. Fucking Covidiot
June 29, 2020 at 2:49 pm #1852642Perhaps take into account that the total population of Iceland is 364,000!!!!
Versus the UK population of over 66 million!!!!
June 29, 2020 at 2:50 pm #1852643Liverpool fans must wait until “the time is right” to celebrate the club’s first Premier League title together, says manager Jurgen Klopp.
Thousands of people celebrated on the city’s waterfront on Friday, despite restrictions on gatherings because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Firefighters extinguished a small fire at the Liver Building and 34 people were injured, three seriously.
Klopp said he “did not love” the scenes at Pier Head.
In an open letter to fans published in the Liverpool Echo, the German said: “I am a human being and your passion is also my passion, but right now the most important thing is that we do not have these kind of public gatherings.
“We owe it to the most vulnerable in our community, to the health workers who have given so much and whom we have applauded, and to the police and local authorities who help us as a club not to do this.
“Please – celebrate – but celebrate in a safe way and in private settings, whereby we do not risk spreading this awful disease further in our community.”
The club, who have won the league title for the first time in 30 years, condemned the conduct of some fans who gathered in the city as “wholly unacceptable”, and mayor Joe Anderson said the events “brought Liverpool Football Club and the city of Liverpool into disrepute”.
Crowds also gathered outside Anfield on Thursday after Manchester City’s defeat by Chelsea ensured Liverpool could not be caught by their nearest challengers.
“If things were different I would love nothing more than to celebrate together, to have a parade that would be even bigger than the one after we won the Champions League last year, so that we could all share this special moment, but it just is not possible,” added Klopp.
“We have all done so much to fight Covid-19 and this effort cannot go to waste.
“When the time is right we will celebrate. But for now, please stay at home as much as possible.” BBC Football 29/06.
Wise words from Klopp.
June 29, 2020 at 2:54 pm #1852647Unfortunately NB is too thick to understand
June 29, 2020 at 4:08 pm #1852669A long, long time ago I stopped coming onto this site because of the amount of idiocy being displayed by some of the posters .. basically, I’d had enough of it. I just came back to see how things are and I walked straight into that garbage from “Notoriousbingo” (I think he mis-spelled “idiot” as “bingo” in his name.) So nothing has changed .. the morons are still out in force. I still can’t be bothered with all this lunacy so that was a fleeting return. I’m off again.
June 29, 2020 at 4:17 pm #1852672I don’t know about your sources Derek but I trust mine, I don’t live in a censored media like you do…
As soon as COVID19 hit the streets it was weaponized, the origin of the virus doesn’t even matter and there are certain individuals that have paid with their life for that.
I highly doubt you saw what was happening on the streets in Taiwan, Thailand, Korea or China.
All you know is what your media has told you and that is basically nothing.
