German FA has announced that Low will step down after Euro 2020. Good chance that Klopp will be offered the job, do you guys think he will taken it up? IMO it will depend on the support he gets from the owners. Since summer 2018 where we bought Allison, little has been in the transfer market, whether it’s Klopp’s decision or a limited budget, only management knows. I can’t see us challenging for the big honours without the cheque book being opened.

Personally I don’t think so as he doesn’t strike me as the kinda guy who just gives up at the first bump in the road plus he’s still quite young in managerial terms so has time on his side to still take the National job at a later point.

Perhaps, and I have absolutely nothing to back this up with, he might fancy being closer to family after the death of his mother and not being able to say his goodbyes.

I still think and hope he’ll be Liverpool manager next season.
FSG need to back him financially and personally.

Honestly I don´t see him taking the job, if he were to leave I reckon he would take a full year off, just to spend time with the family… , I don´t think he would have a choice in the matter actually, unless it was his family that was urging him to move back to Germany but honestly I would prefer England over the Germans right now…

I would not be surprised to see a lot of talent leave Germany this summer, players are gonna want to move to Spain because the rules were quite relaxed there compared to Germany but finances in Spain might rule some of them out…

PSG is also a very good place to move to now, if you want to enjoy yourself and England is going to be a very hot ticket this summer because of the finances of the league… Players such as Haaland and Sancho will probably be looking to move to England…

All this talk about Klopp signing up for the German international team might also just be pressure from his side towards FSG, to get them to bankroll this transition we are heading into… Its probably just bullshit because he is the topped ranked German coach right now and Low is stepping down…

I can see him taking the job. He has in the past made remarks about missing germany. There were also a remark or two from him about the transfer dealings over the winter that had a slight undertone that all is not well with senior management.

We are a shit show of a team at the moment. Klopp knows this and knows that the team needs investment. If that doesn’t come then I could see him saying screw this and take the way option out.

He is loved in Germany, more so than even on the red part of Merseyside, even Bayern fans respect him. As I said in the matchday thread the talk of him taking over has been going on for months and the sad state of affairs at Anfield is only intensifying the talk. With Low’s announcement it seems like a perfect scenario for all concerned. Except us.

I would think the Germany job is to Klopp what the Liverpool job is to Stevie G. Some of his past interviews seem to suggest as much so yes, I can see Klopp taking up the Germany job if offered and I wouldn’t be surprised if FSG already knew about this arrangement when he signed his new contract.

    Klopp back in Nov..

“In the future, maybe. Now? No. I have no time, I have a job – a pretty intense job by the way!

“I’m not sure if anyone asked for me or whatever, but if they don’t know, I have a job at Liverpool. And even though the weather is bad again, I like it!”

Don’t think so, he seems to thrive in difficulty, perversely I would be more worried if we were cantering to another PL title, Klopp might just say I’ll leave the club when we’re flying.

Think I linked the article where he talked about the stories of Mane, Bobby and Salah and how he is in awe of these lads, and how they faced adversity, and it looks certain he likes to work in a multicultural environment.

You seem to think the contrary threeps, hope I’m right.

Things were very different in November. I think all will depend on the assurance he gets from the owners re transfer money. Can’t expect him to continue delivering success on the limited budget.

Kopite : Think Edwards will be working in the background with him to get a few rough diamonds. Leeds, Fulham, and even Sheffield United have some good players, no need to have the spending power of Chelsea or PSG to compete.

    Klopp in March…

“I will not be available as a potential coach for the German team.

“I have three years left at LFC don’t I? It’s simple. You sign a contract and you stick to that contract. I stuck to contracts at Mainz and Dortmund.”
