Looks like Chelsea have agreement to sign Ziyech in the summer for £38m. Seems like a good deal.

He is very similar player to Mahrez who cost £50m

Agreed Bort, he’s got one hell of a left peg as well. He tormented us at the Bridge in that CL tie….

Ziyech would certainly add something different to our squad, he looked a serious player at the bridge and with that left foot we should up our dead ball game significantly! If the reported fee is accurate that’s serious deal this day in age, considering the talk of Sancho for 120m!

I do wonder if we’re seeing Willian´s last months at Chelsea, no deal done yet, talk of Barca interested, bringing in Ziyech to join CHO and Pulisic, theres a lot adding up to him leaving in the summer.

For sure we won’t extend Pedro. And I really hope we will bring Ziyech as Willian hasn’t signed an extension yet. A bit strange though if we are able to sign 2 players from the same club: Ziyech and Onana. But really hoping it will happen !! We need quality and both players are class, proven Dutch champions and UCL experience too.

Sancho is good but for 120m, I would let Man Utd buy him. Just too expensive.

    Willian
    Pedro
    Giroud

Are all goners I reckon. Then these will probably be let go:

Batshuayi = Just isn’t cutting it.

Emerson/Alonso = One of these will be sold. Hopefully Emerson as Alonso has more to offer if we decide to play wing backs.

Kepa = will probably go on several loans to recoup some of that fee then be sold for £20-30m in a few seasons time.

Whatever the outcome, I think we will need 4 wide players

We needs other keeper too and that Alex keeper seems keen. If Kepa stays then it will be great completion and cover against injuries. Not withstanding, rumours are going around that Kepa could go out on loan

chelseafc.com: deal reached. Chelsea Football Club has reached an agreement with Ajax to sign Hakim Ziyech this summer. The move is subject to the player agreeing personal terms and he will remain at the Dutch club for the rest of this season.

So there will be personal terms to be agreed, but hopefully we will seal this deal. With Pedro a goner and probably Willian too: Ziyech will be a good addition for us. Seems that we are actively doing something for Boga too. Let’s see. With CHO and Pulisic, the competition will be good.

Agree about GK, it’s a must that we sign a new GK. Hopefully Onana of Ajax but if not Pope would be good too. And Chilwell, a LB. But he will come very expensive though.

All sounds positive Aindro but it’s never a done deal until the player has signed on the dotted line. Think Willian having a medical at Spurs.😊

Agree nine. Let’s wait a bit until the signature will be made before we pop a bottle of champagne ;). But we can see that the club is working hard to prepare for our next season. We can only hope that the current team will be able to finish 4th thus ensuring UCL qualification next season

Ziyech is a quality signing, and for relatively small fee to boot. Look forward to see him in blue

I hope United to win the Sancho race because I’m not keen to see my club waste £130 Million for a player who is not proven at all. and one who has had a good half a season only at the German league. I think this deal has disaster written in it and i would expect Chelsea to stay clear of it.

I think the contrary: Sancho will shine for any team he plays for. He is talented, quick, hard worker. His decision to seek to grow, to leave England for Germany impresses me. But indeed 130m is a really big amount. If that’s his price, let other team take him as we can use 130m for 3 to 4 players instead of for 1 player. Chelsea still have a lot of areas to improve if we ever want to compete with Liverpool and City: GK, LB, winger (Ziyech) and especially striker. And we know that every time Chelsea want a player, suddenly his price spikes. We just can’t afford to spend 130m only on one player. For starting (waiting for the signature), Ziyech for 37m is a good start.

On the subject of transfers I found this article re Chelsea’s dearly departed youth quite interesting. Lamptey left without as much as whimper which surprised me. He came on in a match recently and impressed but apparently refused to commit to the club.

I would agree letting Pedro makes sense, but letting Willian without a fight could look a stupid idea and will come back to bite us. he still has 2-3 years left in him, and he seems content at Chelsea and in London. i hope the club has a plan in place for that issue. letting Giroud is normal, i would have liked to keep him and give him a prominent role now that we are said to be signing a player who is an assist master. i would also let Jorginho join Juventus to keep Kante amd i his prefered position. and i would also try to deploy Loftus Cheek next to Kante in some games. Kovacic would be the man who will play next to him when we are facing bigger opposition.

Aindro, I think we need another decent centre back too. Someone who is better than any of the current Crop that we have. A singing similar to the desailly signing we made, that helped JT along

Chelsea man, I agree with that last post apart from the part on RLC. I think he is better suited as an attacking threat further up. I believe Conte considered at one time playing Honda a number 9, so he must have seen those attacking qualities in him. Regardless, what I like about him is he is that he offers a potent goal threat unlike some that we have at the moment. Ai always say that a great team always needs goal threats from several players otherwise you are too easy to negate. For example, I love the way Alonso gets himself in the box and can apply quality finishing. Never mentioned this before but I stayed back a while after the Perth Glory pre season training session that Sarri took. Alonso stayed out on the pitch and wad firing shots on. He is quite deadly for a defender

Would like to see Jeremy Noga come back. Remember seeing him in Bangkok and didn’t even know who he was. He really stood out

Ziyech – There seems only personal terms to be agreed, no mention of a medical so I assume this has been done. I cannot see personal terms being an issue, we will pay far more than Ajax, but Ziyech just may want to be sure of playing in the Champions League next season. This one looks done, but it never is till the pen meets the paper!
