So Batshuai off-loaded to Palace on a season long loan, but got to admit that I’m totally perplexed at the offer of a contract extension with us,he was way down the pecking order.Secondly, the powers to be at Chelsea’s and especially Frank’s hears must’ve been burning at my last comments concerning the possible acquisition of Rennes goalie Mendy, all has gone quiet all of a sudden…cooler heads prevailing and a change of mind perhaps?
September 10, 2020 at 4:22 pm #1873138mtal, the one year extension gives Chelsea an opportunity of a transfer fee at the end of it rumour has it Palace will take Michy on LAN for a season with an option to buy.
Re Mendy “Chelsea are in talks with Rennes over Mendy and believe they are close to securing him on a five-year deal.” Standard 10/09. ???
September 10, 2020 at 4:25 pm #1873140Blue Lion and Aindro, given Klopp applied the same strategy as we are by selling Coutinho and reinvesting the money in better players I think Klopp’s comments make him look a bit silly and a decent journalist would have shot his comments down in flames.
September 10, 2020 at 6:06 pm #1873160Hey Bort, any chance you could find out the value of all these bladdy loan deals we seem to be doing. I read somewhere that we want about 4m loan fee for Bakayoko with AC Milan having an obligation to buy for an additional 26-27m at the end of the season. Ampadu, Gallacher, Bats, Tomori, Zappacosta…these players could net us about 20m in loan fees. Hopefully we can find buyers for Emerson, Moses, Barkley and possibly Jorginho…although Jorginho had an absolute belter of a game against Holland the other day. Absolutely schooled Van Beek….
I’ve no problem with Tomori and Ampadu going on loan to PL clubs. They will hopefully play regularly, improve and gain much needed experience.
September 11, 2020 at 11:49 am #1873324Chelsea are in talks for Declan #Rice. #Blues are ready to offer €45M to #WestHan to sign the midfielder. If two clubs reach an agreement, Rice will sign 5-year contract. #transfers #CFC #WHUFC

“Bring him home”😊
September 11, 2020 at 1:05 pm #1873357Klopp is given the hype he gets because Liverpool are the media darlings of the EPL.
He is clearly worried by Chelsea’s transfer activity especially as we have signed at least one of his targets, and he also knows that he has a limited budget to works with, whereas the transfer ban has actually done us a favour from a FFP perspective.
When the window closes we will see part of the truth of Chelseas transfer activity with the nett spend on players deals, which I would suggest are far from over yet.
When you factor in the income from the winning of the Europea League, savings on Hazard, Cahill, luiz and Morata wages etc you will find that the money was there to spend!!All the so called big teams are strengthening, and as I have stated before, an empty Anfield is a much easier place to visit, so it will be a very different league this season!
Klippity is klopping himself!!
September 11, 2020 at 3:05 pm #1873416I think any deal for Declan Rice will be dependent on selling Jorginho. Lets hope Sarri gets fixed up soon.😊
September 11, 2020 at 4:21 pm #1873450Mendy misses Rennes training today. Hopefully a deal is close with Rennes as it seems that the player wants Chelsea move. Personnally I don’t think that we need Rice as we have Kanté and Kovacic. But we did not need Havertz either as we have Mount and RLC. So let’s see.
Nine, looking at the current condition, I am not optimist we can sell anybody, including Jorginho. Rumours that Inter want Kanté, they would do player swap + money, not cash only. The closest to go it seems to be Giroud now, a player that we would need to face physical oppositions. But let’s just see, we are still 1 month away from the closing of this transfer window. I reckon that once we will be complete (new GK, probably Rice): some players will be unhappy and we will be in a position to sell them for cheap
September 11, 2020 at 4:38 pm #1873456Mendy bid accepted:
The new bid from Chelsea for Edouard Mendy has been accepted by Rennes: here we go! Deal to be completed on next days, the goalkeeper is ready to fly to London and he’ll have medicals soon. Personal terms agreed days ago. Lampard will have his new GK. 🔵 @DiMarzio #CFC #Chelsea https://t.co/iPXVcUm2ij

I think all these problems we all now have does have an effect on certain mental aspects no denying it.
September 12, 2020 at 6:56 am #1873537“I think pretty much every club in the world would want N’Golo Kante. I have seen those reports as well. He is an incredible player and person and I certainly don’t want to lose him. He’s fundamental in terms of what I’m trying to do.
“We can obviously talk about the attacking players we have but someone like N’Golo and the work he does in midfield…
“It was a difficult year for him last year because of the injuries. He came into the season with an injury and it was a domino effect through the year. It was probably a culmination of four or five years of games, so I’m really excited to have him fit. He looks fresh, he’s a big deal to me.
“Of course I want to keep N’Golo.”
It’s not just about who we sign it’s about who we keep as well so it’s good to hear Frank’s positive views on Kante.😊
September 12, 2020 at 8:00 am #1873554Klippity Klopp and moaning Mourinho…that’s why we can afford to spend £250m plus. So stop crying….
September 12, 2020 at 11:42 pm #1873828Didn’t see any of the matches tonight but it appears that Van Dijk was doing a good impression of his namesake Dick tonight.
I also read an article yesterday stating West Ham needed to sell before they can buy. An opening season home defeat will be putting Moyes under pressure, so Rice may soon be available on a cash plus player deal!!!
September 13, 2020 at 7:17 am #1873837Quite a lot of players that need to be sold or loaned, can see most of them eventually going on the free once their contracts are over. Smaller Clubs don’t want to spend big money on reject players or their wages are also too huge. Will be interesting to see what will happen to them. I think we have enough for now, is Declan Rice for that kind of money really necessary?
September 13, 2020 at 8:04 am #1873849West Ham have got the wrong owners and the wrong Manager and will do well to stay up this season however with Moyes as Manager they may well be tempted by Barkley plus £40m for Rice.
“I think we have enough for now is Declan Rice for that kind of money really necessary ” ? Is probably right Blue Owner but if Frank and Jody want him…….?
Need to get Mendy over the line asap.
September 13, 2020 at 1:48 pm #1873952I agree too that Rice is not necessary. We have Kovacic and Kante. But Kai Havertz was not necessary either considering the array of talents we already had in our attack. And if as rumoured we can get Rice with a lower price and offer Barkley to West Ham, I think it’s a win win solution to both parties. Strike while the iron is still hot.
Mendy on the contrary is necessary. I hope he will sign next week. He is not part of Rennes squad this weekend, suggesting something is going on, hopefully a deal will be agreed very soon.
Willian yesterday, what a player. But let’s see if he can keep that consistency at Arsenal. Apart after restart he was not consistent with CHelsea
September 13, 2020 at 3:51 pm #1873988We offered Willian 2 years he didn’t want to accept that which was a shame imo even though I think his appearances would have started to be a bit more limited from this season given the competition in the squad now I still think he would have been valuable to the squad this season.
September 14, 2020 at 5:53 am #1874095Well after that abysmal performance against Newcastle I certainly hope the club dont spend £70m on Rice…hes not worth it. Gilmour still to return from injury…
September 14, 2020 at 8:46 am #1874116A brilliant, level-headed and articulate response to Klopp by Lampard. Made the German look even more stupid than he already did.
