rather say nothing cause theres nothing you can say about such a gutless and feeble performance by players and management, poor old Zola must have known what he was getting himself into.

1905 or anyone know what role Zola exactly plays in the teams training or what is he doing? He cannot possibly be there as an advisor only.

the problem is not so much in the midfield but upfront between Giroud, Morata and the other supporting act they constantly take wrong options, can just about hold the ball, shooting at goals and even crosses and corners are really pathetic and of course the usual falling down which is not doing the team any favours at all, but also at the back Alonso is of course good going forward but he cannot get back in time for any counter attacks. You cant continually give senior established players opportunities to come right while younger more zestful and possibly more effective players wait their turn forever, eventually we will lose them and the older quickly declining players will also be gone.

Blueowner you are adsolutely right about picking younger talented players over the non performers. Unfortunately the manager seems to think they are not ready for the PL so he carrys on with the same failing players. I would rather see players like RLC Barkley amd CHO all play and if we lose at least they have gained experience for the next game!

1905. Would be typical for Chelsea to lose against Wolves and then beat city. Here’s to hoping.
Sadly, As far as I can see, Hazard’s will he wont he stance is now having a direct impact on the team. He could sign a deal, but isnt doing so. I would leave him out of the team until he can make up his mind because he is hiding on the wing. He was anonymous for most of the game last night and looks disinterested.

Willian had a stinker. He had the opportunity to square the ball to Morata who was free and in Acres of space, then Wolves take up a similar position in the second half and score the second goal. his passing was awful and he was shrugged off the ball for the second goal like a schoolgirl.

The money these guys are paid and it appears as though they’re downing tools again.

We knew what our problem was last season and that was scoring goals and love him or hate we’ve had no real threat up front since Conte got rid of Costa.

City are miles in front of us as a team and we’re a long way away from both Liverpool and Spurs too with all three much further developed and we’ve got the added problem of the “will he or won’t he” with Hazard which isn’t helping anyone with Hazard who having blown hot up until October time now blowing luke warm at best.

Realistically we are in significant transition both as a Club and as a team and a CL place may well be beyond us without we can solve one or two problems in January and Hazard returns to a bit more consistent form.

Sarri made changes last night but certain players let him down and calling for Sarri’s head after 5 months at the Club is both unhelpful and reflects badly on Chelsea fans as a whole.

What Sarri is finding out now is the size of the task and given the size of the task he has to be given the time to work on it and changing Managers again at the first sign of a problem is not the answer.

But this was not the same as the Spurs defeat even with all the changes we completely dominated the game but failed to take our chances and until we find a solution to the striker connundrum games like this will continue to dog us.

I’m reading posts from people and i do find it funny. The same people in summer were praising Sarri and his style of play. Now suddenly the same people are criticising Sarri.

What you need to realise is Sarri only brought in 2 outfield players, Jorginho and Kovacic. Do you really think the whole squad can adapt and play ‘Sarriball’? Personally i don’t think Kovacic is the right fit as he won’t get us goals or create anything. The loan was just a stop gap.

The biggest issue we have is we have crap strikers and unfortunately Sarri is lumbered with them until at least January and even then i doubt we will get one of the top strikers around (such as Icardi or even Higuain).

Also our fullbacks aren’t suited to his style and we need to improve of them. Azpi isn’t good enough in the attacking sense and Alonso can’t defend playing as a full back. We need athletic fullbacks like Sandro from Juve and Hysaj from Napoli.

Also one thing everyone needs to remember is Pep just about finished 4th in his first season and he already had one of the worlds best strikers in his team. We need to give Sarri time to get rid of the players that doesn’t suit his style and buy players that do.

We were always going to lose games, we’ve only lost 2 and are still 4th. Top Four is our priority and we are going to lose games along the way.

Guys the problem is not just the strikers, yes they have to shoulder some of the blame, but they did not leak goals at the back, and also in their defence who exactly provides them with the killer defence splitting pass a la Lamps or Cesc.

We have this tippy tappy build up allowing the opposition defence to finish their cuppa and smoke before getting in position and when we do not have the ball we are not closing the opposition down.

One of ourbetter goals this season was on Sunday when Kante broke free and supplied Pedro whose finish was quality, that however was pure instinctive counter attacking football fork all to do with Sarriball!

I have said it before and I will continue to say it until I am proven wrong in which case I will be delighted to ear humble pie because we will be winning again ….”SARRI BALL AKA WEGNER BALL WILL NOT WORK IN THE PREM”

As for the January transfer window, notoriously hard to get real quality in this window, but when you factor in a potential 4 window transfer ban be handed out. Players will be thinking twice and agents will be thinking ….. show me the money!!!

NI Blue, Pep is playing the same way with City and look at how well they are doing. They don’t counter attack, they are always in possession of the ball.

Just wondering why do some posters keep on reminding us where Pep has finished in his first season? Well he has finished third and not fourth. Pep is not Sarri and Sarri is not Pep. City is not Chelsea and Chelsea is not City. This is a Chelsea problem and we need to analyse according to a Chelsea perspective. we are the only team in the league who has got no out and out defence midfielder, we are the only team in the top 6 who carry two passengers in attack. And Sarri’s insistance on picking some deadwood players is not helping.

We made 3 mistakes that is haunting us. Mistake one was was siding with the manager about the Costa row. Mistake two was replacing him with a sub impact player, mistake three is denying Sarri the chance to get his prefered striker in the summer because of this ridiculous above 30 policy. And we are reaping the reward. I doubt if we will ever get another £65m bid for Willian. Hazard And Kante will be off in the summer.

Hazard is an unknown quantity, he has a massive deal on the table for him to sign now and yet he continues to wait. I understand that he may want to see if we get CL football or not but the management must understand the negative repercussions this could have on the squad…?

I would suggest that this is playing on his mind as well as his performances have dipped and I come back to the argument that someone (BORT ?) put forward that Willian performs much better in his absence so wonder if we should consider dropping Hazard. Trouble is, if we do does that tip him towards leaving..?

Kante has just signed a long term contract along with Alonso and Dave so I honestly do not see any of them leaving. I find it rather contradictory in that some like Alonso going forward but criticise for not getting back and then have a pop at Dave but for the complete opposite. If we want Alonso to get forward and add to the attack then obviously someone has to take the responsibility and provide the cover

We need a striker who can score, we need to protect the defence better and finally cut out stupid mistakes. KTBFFH

1905 My point is that Azpi and Alonso aren’t the right fit for the way Sarri wants to play. Yes i stand by my comments that Alonso can’t defend (just look at last nights performance as well as other games this season). If he had pace to get back it would be a different matter but he has average pace, and Azpi, while he is a a great player for us, as G. Nev and Carra say, he’s a defenders defender.

Anyway, lets continue to back the club we all love, it’s easy to criticise without actually finding a solution.

Amz… I put down the first and second goals to poor communication between left back and defender. Christiensen didnt cover himself in glory last night and, for anyone asking why Luiz, that game probably shows why as the brazilian is probably a better communication. No time to be throwing either under the bus given the non performance of some of the top earners who really should be turning up on a cool Wednesday evening in the midlands. It wasnt even cold. They didnt and we shouldnt be talking about a defeat but a 4-2 victory. We had the chances, didnt take them and you have to say very well played Wolves. They made our superstars look ordinary.

The first goal was a difficult one. But if we want to point finger, the mistake would be Alonso’s IMO. And probably Kepa should have been able to save it too. But the 2nd one was really not necessary. Poor pass by Christensen (again and again and I start to see he’s not good enough for Chelsea) and then unecessary run by Willian expecting the ref to give a foul. I found our performance yesterday was really poor. Wolves weren’t good IMO but they took their chances, they maximized the mistakes we made. And Chelsea this season haven’t been able to do so at all, to maximize opposition team’s mistakes. We are really doing the contrary: wasting chances after chances. Taking wrong decisions most of the time.

And Sarri has to take some blame too. He has to adapt. Everyone has to adapt. Premiership is not Serie A, repeat after me: Premiership is not Serie A. And Chelsea aren’t Napoli. It’s clear that Azpi cannot suit his style. And we just gave him a good contract extension. It’s clear that Kanté cannot suit his style. And we just made him one of the most expensive players in the world. What’s the logic in it?

AMZ i think you have answered your own point about the criticism that Sarri is getting. You admit he doesnt have the players that suit his way of playing – so surely anyone with any pragmatism would adapt to what he has. Football is about winning and to do so more often than not you need to play in a way that the players you have at your disposal are comfortable. Sarri at the moment is round pegs and square holes! I want the team winning and qualifying for the CL this season not acting like an overgrown acadamy to teach a new philosophy. If the manager wants to keep his job he will have to adapt as if we slip nearer to Everton with a run of bad results then i can see him going the way of Scolari. In fact knowing our players and their track record i can see them pulling the plug on the manager if they stop believing in his philosophy which wont take long if we keep losing! If you cant score goals make yourself difficult to beat – as Einstein said doing the same thing over and again and expecting different results is madness!!
