Anything less than a high margin victory will be seen as failure. Mind you it’s not always that easy as we have seen and it is Engerland so nothing would surprise me. Hate international break and all I want is every Liverpool player involved in internationals back here healthy and raring to go against the title winners in waiting. Well they are according to le turd.
A win hopefully a comfortable one and a performance is needed v the Malta minnows.
Good to see Southgate in charge and looking quite confident and dapper.

England should win it easy complete walk in the park if they don’t score at least 6 clear goals it will be a disaster
when was the last time Rooney scored from a free-kick? Why is he still taking them for England?!

Half-time, and a pretty good start to be fair under new boss Gareth Southgate. It’s been one way traffic with Malta getting behind in numbers, but we’ve been passing the ball well and have created plenty of chances.
Just need the ball to fall more into the back of the net.
Good Start for Andy Sugden err I mean Gareth Southgate against a Poor Malta side it has to be said, Could have been more only for some decent Keeping but can eventually see a 5 or 6-0 scoreline in the end.

The other thing S/t is that I don’t feel these days like Sturridge is about to get injured any minute now. That’s kinda now a stigma attached onto him. It’s no wonder he’s iching to play more minutes for us and the good thing is that Klopp is starting him more in games.
Just needs to now score for us!

Boring, predictable and risk-averse choice from the FA. We have many more years of this dross to look forward to. The guy was a complete failure in the league yet because he’s a yes man will get a massive well-paid job. No risks taken, terrible choice of manager who will in the England tradition fall apart with the first proper challenge against a decent international team. Massive mistake!!
Southgate wouldn’t have been my choice but he’s a safe pair of hands over 4 games to dig the FA out of an embarrassing hole and there were few other options at the time of his appointment which had to be done in haste.
Nine, not many decent choices available to be fair mate when it comes to the England job. There’s a lot of one and off the field matters that need a bit of restoration to get the fans more back on side and not lose total faith and confidence.
Disappointing second half to be frank. I wanted more goals. Feel for Malta as it’s no fun having to be the ‘mannequin’ or chasing the ball around like a dog, but England really should have added more intensity and just have a spell in firing shots at them left, right, and centre rather than to be too systematic.
3 points never the less, and another game to look forward to this coming Tuesday.
