    The other problem with tackling is its gradually getting outlawed. It is almost impossible to tackle someone with no contact at all. As soon as there is contact, the other player falls over and they get a foul, this is especially noticeable in European games.
    Last night for example spurs conceded 23 fouls, less than half of those would have been given in the PL.
    This difference makes it very hard for good tacklers in teh Pl to play their proper game in European or world football.

    Cm I don’t know what whoscored is or how it’s relevant but having watched Ali,Lallana & Barkley countless times and in the flesh I can assure you all three rely on technique over anything else. If they can tackle & work hard for the team too how can that be a negative thing?
    Carrick and Kante are different types of player, very different. You and Alonso have both suggested tackling is preferred over technique, I’ve shown that based on the national side, that is simply not true.
