About

I began working as a journalist in 2003 as a trainee news reporter on the Telegraph & Argus newspaper in Bradford, covering local news and human interest stories.

From there I began a traineeship as a sports journalist at the Press Association where I spent almost eight years covering football, rugby league, rugby union and boxing.

In 2011, I returned to the Telegraph & Argus in the role of rugby league reporter, where I spent five years before leaving in 2016 and going freelance.

I have since spent the past nine years working for a wide range of publications, including national newspapers and leading websites.

I was born on Merseyside and raised in Ormskirk before gaining a degree in journalism from the University of Manchester.

I also hold an MBA (Master of Business Administration) in Football Industries from the University of Liverpool and an NCTJ (National Certificate of Trained Journalists) from Liverpool Community College.
