Lyndon Dykes Livingston TEAMtalk

Queens Park Rangers are in pole position to land highly rated Livingston forward Lyndon Dykes, TEAMtalk can reveal.

The 24-year-old has a host of clubs chasing him. The likes of Barnsley, Middlesbrough, Stoke and Millwall have all showed an interest in the 6ft 2in Aussie. But TEAMtalk can confirm that a deal worth around £2million has been agreed with the R’s.

Dykes is set for a medical on Monday when personal terms will also be finalised.

Barring any late interest, he is expected to put pen to paper on a long-term deal at Loftus Road.

Australian-born Dykes is also being battled for on the international front. Dykes, born at Gold Coast, Queensland, is wanted by both the country of his birth and Scotland.

Dyke’s parents both hail from Dumfries and Steve Clarke hopes to call him up and get a commitment from him to play for them.

Dykes comes from a talented family; his elder sister Hollie was a gold medal-winning gymnast for Australia at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

QPR also keen on Northampton star

QPR are also tracking £1million-rated Northampton defender Charlie Goode, TEAMtalk understands.

Middlesbrough, QPR, Preston and Blackburn are amongst a host of clubs to have made contact with the Cobblers.

Sunderland are also said to have expressed an interest.

Goode impressed hugely for Keith Curle’s side, skippering them to play-off final victory against Exeter City.
