Journalist makes bold claim over Neymar amid Man Utd, Real links

Neymar will not be leaving PSG this summer, according to a French football expert.

The Brazilian forward moved to France for a world-record fee last summer, but reports have already linked him with a move back to La Liga. Real Madrid are said to be interested in signing the ex-Barcelona man, with Premier League giants Manchester United planning a move as well.

However, French football expert Jonathan Johnson says that PSG won’t allow their star man to leave this summer.

“I don’t necessarily think Neymar will see out his contract in Paris but I do think that PSG’s Qatari owners expect him to see out at least two or three of those years of his deal,” Johnson told the Transfer Talk podcast.

“There’s no intention on their part to let him go this summer.

“If anything, I think if they were looking back on his first season, not necessarily because what he did on the pitch or didn’t do, it didn’t really go the way they hoped it would go.

“Obviously there’s a large element of bad luck involved in that with him getting injured back in February but I think they will think there’s more to come from Neymar at PSG.

“I think Neymar is also planing for the future in Paris. It’s well-known that his girlfriend will be moving to Paris to join him in a couple of months, once the season is back underway.

“I think a more settled Neymar will be more productive for PSG.”

Neymar, 26, was limited to just 20 Ligue 1 appearances in his debut season in Paris after a serious injury in February.

He is currently at the World Cup with Brazil, who will face Mexico in the Round of 16 on Monday.
