Lucas Moura TEAMtalk

Lucas Moura has revealed that he believes Tottenham are a bigger club than French giants PSG, after moving to north London from Paris in January.

The Brazilian took his time to to settle in the Premier League, after arriving in a £25million deal, but is confident of making more of an impact this season after getting a full pre-season behind him.

Moura scored twice in the 4-1 win over Roma and was action again as Tottenham drew 2-2 with Barcelona before losing on penalties in LA on Saturday.

Speaking ahead of the new season, the 25-year-old told the Mail on Sunday: “Tottenham are a big club,”

“They are probably bigger in structure than PSG. I am impressed about this and I was happy to come here.”

Moura also revealed that he is missing some of his old team-mates, despite settling down well in north London.

He added: “Neymar is like my brother. I love him and we have a very good close relationship. It was a little bit sad to leave him and Paris because I like the life there.

“But I had been there for five years and it was time to have a new challenge. I wanted to play in another championship and coming here was a big opportunity for me to play in the best league in the world.

“Now I am ready to give my best because I will do the whole pre-season with the team.

“That is important because here is very different — the Premier League is very hard — so I will be more ready to show my talent.”
